As soon as Sumayyah walked out of the hospital,  Aisha was walking in on a phone call. They passed by each other but neither of them noticed each other, and somehow it was a good thing that they didn't meet.

She unlocked her car and got in. She sat comfortably and ready to start the car engine when a flash of Khalil's incident hit her as if she was there. As if she could see a glimpse of what had happened to him, but all she thought was her imagination running wild. She sniffled and tried to stop the little tears that threatened to fall by blinking her eyes twice while pressing her ears together. "He would be fine, I know , right?" She mutters before starting her engine, driving out of the hospital area.

Meanwhile, Aisha had just ended her phone call when she bumps into Nabila at the reception. She innocently lowers her head to greet her but Nabila refuses to look at her. "He is still sleeping and his breathing has balanced compared to yesterday,  please do not say words that will damage his condition. He can still hear and recognise everyone's voices." And she walks away. Aisha inhaled sharply, taking note of what Nabila had said to her as she entered his room.

She silently dropped the food bag she had come with on the table and sat beside him on the armchair Sumayyah had just left. As She reached for his hand, she noticed the blanket used to cover him. Her brows furrowed. "When did he get a change of blanket?" She thought out loud, brushing her hand on the fluffy crochet grey blanket. "Who brought it?"

"Sumayyah did." Nabila answered, with her eyes closed, leaning on the doorway with her hands folded under her chest.

Aisha shook. "What?.. Why was she here? Why did you let her see him? She is the cause of his..."

"Do not blame it on another woman when it is your responsibility to look after your husband!" Nabila snapped at her as she looked dazed. "But..."

"I let her see him because she was once his wife, he can choose to bring her back if he wants to and you can do nothing about it. Aisha." She said, firmly giving her a warning before walking away. "But she's married!" She whispers after her. Aisha’s emotions hardened as she clenched her dress by the knee, gritting her teeth out in anger. She hated Sumayyah so much that she wished she had killed her when she had the chance to, but now she can not do anything, since Khalil is in this condition and Ibrahim's threat.

"He would kill me for sure this time. I hate it when the monster in him arises, he is more wicked than I ever thought. If he could break a kid's leg while we were kids because he insulted Arif. What will make of me that caused Khalil's semi death" she mutters. She breathed slowly reaching for his hand. "Forgive me my love, I waited for you to come home to me, please wake up, wake up and tell me that everything will be alright." She sobs.

It was past 5;00pm already and so, Summayyah decided to drive home instead. While she was still on the way, Luqman called her, asking her if she would spare a few moments from her time tomorrow because he would like her to meet with Rahma and her husband Kabeer, concerning the case at hand.

"Yes Luqman, in sha Allah."

"Alright, please take care of yourself. My regards to everyone and Azman."

"Sure, in sha Allah".

"Make sure you bring him home."

She chuckled. "Worry not."

She got home at exactly 6pm because she stopped at Sahad stores to get her baby something nice and a new toy to pay back the lack of attention she was giving him, with the hope that he would love it. But he was over the moon when she brought it to him and showed everyone in the house, including Asma'u and begged her to play with him tomorrow.
