Faruq just pulled over at Khalil's gate and pressed the horn, but no one seemed to open the gate. He tried for two consecutive times before an old looking man rushed out, looking tattered. He reached towards Faruq passenger's window. "Oga, how you dey?"
"I came to See Mr Khalil, is he around?"
"Yes, but he wan commot now. You fit come back tomorrow?" The old man asked, Faruq stared at him in disbelief. The dude is around, but he wants to go out, he is not even out yet but he suggests i go and come back tomorrow? Who wanna come back to see this Asshole? Faruq glared at him. "It's important and brief, let him know."
The old man didn't argue and went back inside, a few minutes later, he came back, opening the gate. 'Hn, he didn't even ask for my name,' he mutters as he drives in. Faryq was left bemused by Khalil's house. It wasn't as big as his, but it was a very beautiful house, comfortable to live in. "No girl would leave this house, but She did. She's indeed different." He said to himself as he parked at the parking space and switched off his car engine.
He had asked Benson to get Khalil's home address from Tony as a repay for helping them the other time and without any delay, he gave out. He trusts that we won't be any harm to his boss and of course. I just wanna speak to him.
Walking out of the car, the old man directed him to the entrance and left soon after. He pressed the doorbell waiting for about fifteen minutes for anyone to open the door, but why would they delay in doing that? Just then, a familiar fair and petite looking lady, in a maroon hijab opened the door. They both stared at each other for a few seconds before the lady's brow furrowed. "You've got business with my husband?" She asked, sounding irritated.
He was taken aback. Who the hell does she think she is?.
"Yes, I've got business with your husband and do you have a problem with that?" He asked, standing firm. She sighed. "He would be going out soon so I doubt you would have enough time to talk business with him."
Faruq shrugged. "Thirty minutes is too much for me, May i come in?" He asked after. She glared at him as if she had imagine killing him with a spare, but Faruq didn't understand her behaviour. Was it because of what happened the other day. Puff, she is going to lose anyway, she's no match for my Sumayyah. He smirk as she gave him way to come in and seat in the sitting room while she go gets Khalil.
Faruq was set on his time, he didn't want to waste much time as he was offered a soft drink and water. I'm not gonna take that! Scrolling through his phone, Khalil walked in. They immediately shook hands, exchanging pleasantries in not the best way ever. Khalil wasn't happy to see him, especially as he is the husband of his ex wife. "To what do I own your visit?" He asked. Faruq thought it's better to spill the beans, but he felt Aisha was going to eavesdrop. He would have thought much more than to come to his house. He sighed. "I want to know about your ex wife," he said.
Khalil stared at him in dismay then chuckled. "You left her at home and came all the way here to learn about my ex wife, you sure have no ounce of respect. Well, sorry to break it to you but I don't think you deserve to know." Khalil hisses. Faruq still stayed silent, watching his time. "She told me what happened between the two of you, but she believed that you might have been framed."
He scoffs. "She's just finding that out now?"
He nodded. "Is it wrong to find out now? She's a tough lady." Faruq said, standing up. "Well, I will be taking my leave. I have something very important to say to you, but I don't think I am allowed to, since my Wife hasn't approved of me to tell you."
Khalil looked dazed. 'His wife?' "Hey, don't don't marry my Sumayyah!"
"Ha! Something that has already happened" Faruq chuckled. Khalil was fuming in range as they both stared at each other intensely until Aisha broke in.
