"No fuck off this is mine!" It didn't make any sense to me how two people could be so alike and made for each other. "It's fucking mine!"

And yet have nothing in common and be so far from perfect.

Evan was loud and acted half his age, he surfed just because he liked it when he crashed, he liked to listen to one specific song by the 1975 when he drives and his favourite thing to do with his time is smoke weed.

Darla was top of all her classes, spent her time reading or writing, she liked to listen to whatever music her dad liked, she was never too fussed with the weed part but she never cared to stop him.

The one thing they both enjoyed more than anything was each others company.

They could spent an entire year together alone and they'd ask to do it all over again just to do the same things they always do.

They'd argue like they were married but theyd be looking at each other like they were still in some kind of honeymoon phase.

Like right now, Darla had a book about something that she was reading for her extra class, Evan was trying to read it upside down hoping he'd cast a spell.

He'd piss her off by telling her it's his and she'd fall for it no matter how big his smile was.

I know they say opposites attract and everything but it was insane. She seemed to like him for being this childish too, not in a weird way, I think she enjoyed the gentle part of it that she never got from home.

In a way I guess he was sort of like a comfort zone for her.

All his needy and obsessive behaviour never really bothered her because she was so focused on being cared about and listened to.

"What if I read it backwards?" She groans. "Give it back! I have to study!" He kisses her forehead. "Finals are next week, study then."

"Evan let go of the fucking book." And then there's Louis.

He was sort of like there little voice of reason.

Which is mad too because he's a fucking idiot just as much as Evan.

I've never seen three people so fit to be friends and yet have so much chaos unfold before their eyes. "But she-"

"Just let the book go. Seriously the girl might actually implode if you don't." Evan slowly slides the book back to her. "That would be a messy breakup."

I slowly move my hand over my mouth.

Louis and Darla just sat with blank stares. Me and Evan silently dying of laughter at his terrible joke.

"I hate you." Darla spits. "Woah now, slow your roll cowgirl. That— was unnecessary. Please... have my kids."

"Wooooah! Not everything needs to be brought to the table man! Jesus." Louis covers over his ears. "Oh you enjoy it, I know you want me Louis, I know you do."

Darla shifts her eyes over to me, Evan poking Louis like he's a dead pig.

I'd ignored it and just watched Louis slowly slip from reality. "Evan- seriously, one more finger touches me and your heads going up your arse."

"How is that- you can't do that dude- you could do a dude but- you can't, my head- my back doesn't even bend that far. I'm sure if I bent over forward- you'd like that."

"You know how funny you are?" Evan hums. "You make me wish I'd stayed with my dad. That's how funny you are."

"Man, that's just too far. Way too far." Evan starts to fake cry. "Oh god please kill me."
