AUTHOR'S POV

As Jungkook arrived at the school's parking lot, his eyes landed on his prized possession: a sleek, black Mercedes-Benz S-Class. The car exuded a sense of power and elegance, with its polished body gleaming under the sunlight. It was a symbol of Jungkook's status as a wealthy young man.

Jungkook settled himself into the plush leather seat, the soft touch enticing him as he held the steering wheel. The car purred to life, the engine emitting a low hum that showed its impressive performance. He navigated through the bustling streets, attracting admiring glances from those around him.

As he journeyed home, nestled in a secluded area exclusive to the wealthy elite, a gigantic mansion stood proudly that screams wealth and power. As the gates swung open, revealing the majestic estate. The mansion stood tall against the backdrop of lush greenery, its impeccable architecture capturing attention from anyone who laid eyes upon it.

A stone pathway led to the entrance, lined with meticulously manicured gardens bursting with vibrant blooms. The double doors opened, welcoming Jungkook into a world of opulence. The foyer's marble floors glimmered, reflecting the sparkling chandeliers that cast a warm, golden glow.

"Welcome home, young master."

Greeted by the housekeepers, Jungkook navigated through the mansion, passing rooms that featured intricate detailing and exquisite furnishings. Each space was meticulously designed, blending modern comfort with classic elegance. The living room boasted high ceilings and floor-to-ceiling windows that supplied breathtaking views of the surrounding natural beauty.

The entertainment wing housed a home theater with plush velvet seating, a gaming room equipped with the latest technology, and a private gym filled with ultramodern equipment. Every corner of the mansion will surely make you in awe.

The heart of the mansion was the kitchen, a culinary oasis where talented chefs prepared delectable meals. The scents of gourmet dishes wafted through the air as he made his way towards the grand dining room. His parents awaited him there, and he knew the seriousness of the conversation that was about to unravel. Shoes echoing at every step he takes as he enters the room, taking his usual seat at the table.

His father, Mr. Jeon Jungsuk, sat at the head of the table, his expression stern and commanding. Meanwhile, his mother, Mrs. Jeon Hyemi, exuded an air of elegance as she sat gracefully beside her husband. Jungkook took a deep breath, mentally preparing himself for what was to come.

Jungkook's parents embody strictness and a rigid adherence to their own values. As proprietors of successful businesses, they show an air of superiority and look down upon others. Their cold and distant demeanor sets them apart from those around them. They hold an unwavering belief in their own superiority and tend to belittle those who do not live up to their standards. Their unwavering commitment to success often leads them to prioritize their own ambitions over Jungkook's desires and aspirations. Their strict nature creates an antagonistic environment for Jungkook, making it difficult for him to express himself and pursue his own dreams.

"Jungkook," his father spoke in a deep, authoritative tone, "how are your academics going?"

"They're going well, Dad. I'm still at the top of my class." Jungkook replied nonchalantly.

"Well, I suppose that's expected. You are always at the top. But being the best is not enough. There's always room for improvement. Are you really pushing yourself?"

Gripping his fork in his hands tightly as he tries to remain calm "Yes, Dad. I'm trying my best." His father observed him intently, with his stern expression, "Good," he finally spoke, his tone still firm but with a hint of approval. "We expect nothing less, Jungkook. Remember, our name carries a reputation, and it's your duty to uphold it."

"Jungkook, your father just wants you to excel in everything you do. We know you can do it." Jungkook's mom voiced out sensing the atmospheric tension.

Jungkook just nodded, knowing all too well not to go against their wants. But he also knew that his father's expectations were high, and anything less than excellence was unacceptable. He's already so used to it. His parent's cold demeanor did not even scare him anymore. Making him feel distant around them day by day.

"I have something else to tell you," Mr. Jeon said.

Jungkook knowing well, when this kind of words come out of his father's mouth, he knows he was talking about 'that' thing.

"The Choi's daughter already agreed to the proposal."

Jungkook's gaze fell to his plate, his appetite momentarily lost as the weight of his father's words settled in. He knew this was going to happen, but not this early. The marriage proposal was made to him, months ago. His father, with slight consideration, gives him time to think, knowing it's a lot to take in. But it's been 3 months now, and the Choi's have been waiting for Jeon's son for approval as his father begins to feel impatient as well.
