AUTHOR'S POV

The music club room was bathed in a soft, golden glow as Jimin sat at the piano, fingers delicately pressing the keys. Continuing their piano sessions as Jungkook, being his tutor for the past few days, sat nearby, yet today there was an invisible barrier that Jimin couldn't quite understand.

"Kookie, is everything okay?" Jimin asked, his eyes searching Jungkook's face for a hint of the warmth that had been there before. Jungkook merely nodded, offering a tight smile.

As the lesson progressed, Jimin couldn't shake the feeling of tension in the air. Each attempt to engage Jungkook in conversation was met with short, almost indifferent replies.

Jungkook's patience seemed to wear thin as Jimin struggled through a challenging section of the piece. His guidance, once gentle, turned into terse instructions. "Jimin, you need to focus. This isn't that difficult," Jungkook said, his tone laced with frustration.

Jimin bit his lip, trying to suppress the growing ache in his chest. "I'm trying, Kookie. I just need a bit more time," he replied, his voice edged with vulnerability.

But Jungkook, for reasons unknown to Jimin, stood up abruptly. "I can't do this right now. You should practice alone," he declared, his words cutting through the room like an icy wind.

Confusion and hurt painted Jimin's face as he watched Jungkook leave without a second glance. "What's happening?" he whispered to himself, feeling the weight of rejection settle over him like a heavy blanket.

On the side, Yoongi, who had been quietly strumming his guitar, observed the scene unfold. Recognizing Jimin's distress, he decided to step in. Silently, he approached the smaller who's oblivious to his presence.

"Jimin," Yoongi spoke softly, placing a comforting hand on his shoulder. "Don't take it too personally. Jungkook might be going through something right now."

"But why is he suddenly acting like this? We were getting along so well," Jimin confessed, his eyes reflecting the hurt swirling within.

Yoongi sighed, choosing his words carefully. "People have their own struggles, Jimin. Maybe Jungkook is dealing with something that's making it hard for him to be himself right now."

Jimin nodded, his eyes cast down. "I just wish he'd tell me what's wrong. I want to help him."

Yoongi gave Jimin a reassuring squeeze on the shoulder. "Sometimes, people need a bit of space to figure things out. Be patient with him, and maybe he'll open up when he's ready. In the meantime, focus on your music. It has a way of healing."

As Yoongi returned to his guitar, Jimin took a deep breath, determination flickering in his eyes. The melody resumed, but now it carried a hint of melancholy, mirroring the unresolved emotions in the room.

___

Later that day, as the sun dipped low in the afternoon sky, casting a warm glow across the university campus. Determined to clear the air with Jungkook, Jimin set out to find him. The weight of earlier events lingered, urging him to mend what seemed broken.

He spotted Jungkook in the secluded corner of the library, surrounded by towering shelves of books. Engrossed in his studies, seemed unaware of Jimin's approach. Jimin took a deep breath and silently settled into the empty seat across from Jungkook.

Gently, he slid a bottle of banana milk towards Jungkook, a small peace offering, hoping to thaw the ice that had settled between them and that's when Jungkook finally registering Jimin's presence, lifted an eyebrow in confusion.

Jimin cleared his throat awkwardly, uncertainty clinging to his words. "U-Um... I... Sorry for earlier. I just wanted to... talk."

Jungkook glanced at the banana milk, his expression unreadable. "It's nothing," he replied, his tone cool, a stark contrast to the warm gesture. He didn't acknowledge the offering, instead burying himself back in his books.
