CHAPTER XII

AUTHOR'S POV

As they continued walking, Jimin shared his plan with Taehyung. "I've noticed that Jungkook loves banana milk," Jimin said. "I want to surprise him by sneaking a bottle onto his locker. It might brighten up his day."

Taehyung's heart sank a bit upon hearing this plan. He had hoped that Jimin's attention would be solely focused on him, but he couldn't deny that he cared for his friend truly and wanted nothing but to see him happy. He put on a brave face and replied with a hint of playful jealousy, "Are you sure you want to give Jungkook banana milk?

Jimin laughed at Taehyung's oblivious question. "You know he loves banana milk, TaeTae. Plus, it's his favorite. It'll definitely make him smile!"

Taehyung couldn't help but smile at Jimin's infectious enthusiasm. If it means to see Jimin's brightening smile every day, then he would gladly do everything. Even if it includes setting aside his own feelings.

"Alright, whatever you want Chim."

After a quick discussion, Jimin and Taehyung decided to wait for the perfect moment to sneak the banana milk onto Jungkook's locker. They wanted to make sure it would be a surprise without getting caught.

JIMIN'S POV

I know Jungkookie will like this! ♡⁠(⁠˃͈⁠ ⁠દ⁠ ⁠˂͈⁠ ⁠༶⁠ ⁠)

I can't help but smile while looking at banana milk in my hands. I added a cute little note also, that will make Jungkook feel a little better. I poured my heart writing those letters dzuh!ಠ⁠_⁠ಠ

During lunch break, l spotted an opportunity. Jungkook had left his locker momentarily to grab something from the cafeteria. It was the perfect chance for me and Taehyung to execute my plan.

"Taehyungie, I'll be the one to put this on Jungkook's locker and you'll be the one to look out if someone will approach this way, Oki?"

"Okay okay."

We look like we're a fucking robber who's making sure no one's gonna caught us. I swiftly approached Jungkook's locker while Taehyung stood guard, keeping an eye out for any potential distractions. I carefully placed the bottle of banana milk and the little note that I made inside Jungkook's locker, making sure it was visible enough to catch his attention when he returned.

As we retreated walking in the hallway like nothing happened, I couldn't help but feel a mix of excitement and nervousness. "Do you think he'll like it?" I whispered to Taehyung, glancing back at the locker.

Taehyung smiled reassuringly. "Of course, he will. It's a thoughtful gesture, Jimin. I'm sure Jungkook will appreciate it."

We resumed our daily routine, continuing our lunch. I couldn't help but steal glances at Jungkook, eagerly waiting for his reaction. However, the lunch break seemed to pass by slowly, and Jungkook hadn't discovered the surprise yet.

As the bell rang, signaling the end of lunch break, l felt a tinge of disappointment. Maybe we didn't succeed in brightening Jungkook's day after all. We left the cafeteria, and I decided to follow Jungkook because I'm pretty sure he will go to his locker to get some books needed for class.

I don't need to plead Taehyung to go with me because I'm certainly sure he will go with me whatever shits I do. My soulmate/My partner in crime^⁠o⁠^

We followed Jungkook to the locker room and acted like we were looking for something in my locker too while Taehyung decides to stay by my side. I sneakily glanced at Jungkook's direction through the door of my locker. My heart keeps thumping in my chest as I look at him. He unlocks his locker; his hands automatically grab his books but stops midway.

JUNGKOOK'S POV

I was about to grab my books when something caught my eye. There, in the middle of my locker sits a bottle of banana milk. A frown painted on my face as I curiously grabbed the thing and noticed that there was a cute little baby blue note attached to it. Must be from the girls again tsk....

I carefully picked the letter and read it...

Dear Koo,

I noticed your frowning face earlier... bad day, I guess? (⁠｡⁠•́⁠︿⁠•̀⁠｡⁠) Don't worry Jungkookie! It's okay to have a bad day sometimes. Whatever is going on, you've totally got this! ᕙ⁠(⁠ ⁠:⁠ ⁠˘⁠ ⁠∧⁠ ⁠˘⁠ ⁠:⁠ ⁠)⁠ᕗ because you're awesome and amazing!! Now smile for me please^^

The frown on my face faded eventually, I couldn't help but smile a bit as I finished reading the letter. Whoever this person is, must be a childish college student, seeing those cute little emojis they added, I can't help but laugh.

Fairy Jiji? Cute.

I walk out of the locker room not forgetting to grab that banana milk along with my other books.

JIMIN'S POV

I don't know if I am dreaming but I saw how the corner of his lips turn up slightly. It's not very noticeable but it's definitely there!!! Jungkookie smiled!!!

I immediately turned to Taehyung, if he was also witnessing what I was seeing, surprised that he was already looking at me. "Taetae, did you saw that?!!" I whispered/yell eyes glistening with excitement.

Taehyung just chuckled at my reaction, nodded his head, brushing his hands on my locks. "I told you, he definitely gonna like it." he said, his voice filled with pride, smiling at me.

"I think I'm going to faint again, Taehyungie. Please catch me." I said dramatically while acting like collapsing.

"If you really faint now, I wouldn't even bother to catch you and just gladly leave you here." Taehyung joked around while chuckling and I playfully punched his chest "Asshole!"

Seeing that kind of reaction from Jungkook because of me, makes me feel things. It was like floating in the clouds. I mentally pat myself feeling proud that my plan succeeds.

I thank Taehyung too, but he just shrugged it off, saying it's nothing. If Jungkook will be happy just by that, I don't mind giving him banana milk every day. If I was madly rich, I would buy all the banana milk all over the world just for him.
