AUTHOR'S POV

As the somber clouds veiled the sky, casting a melancholic hue over the scene, mourners gathered around the graveside, their hearts heavy with grief. The air was thick with sorrow, the weight of loss palpable as the realization of Taehyung's sudden departure settled in.

Among them stood Taehyung's family, their grief etched upon their faces like deep creases in weathered stone as they all watched Taehyung's coffin embraced the earth. Aunt So-un's mournful cries echoed through the air, her tears falling freely as she struggled to come to terms with the loss of her only son.

Jin and Hobi were crying but not that loud as they kept the ceremony solemnly. Namjoon, Yoongi and Jungkook even shed a tear too because even only a short span of time, Taehyung became great company to them.

Jungkook was thankful for all the sacrifices Taehyung had made as he remembers that day...

*FLASHBACK*

Jungkook followed Taehyung in silence as they ascended the stairs to the rooftop of one of the campus' building. The weight of impending conversation hung heavy in the air, and Jungkook waited patiently as Taehyung positioned himself by the edge, his gaze fixed upon the scenery below.

"You really love Jimin, right? I can see it," Taehyung began, his words carrying a weight of understanding.

Jungkook met Taehyung's gaze briefly, "Yes, I do," he admitted softly.

Taehyung searched Jungkook's eyes, as if seeking confirmation. A faint smile tugged at his lips. "Good," he said, his voice tinged with both sadness and acceptance.

As Taehyung turned to face the front again, "Well, that's the only thing I wanted to ask," he said, offering a small smile.

Jungkook nodded in response as he examined Taehyung, sensing the depth of emotion behind Taehyung's words.

"You love Jimin, right?" he inquired, his tone gentle yet probing.

Taehyung's gaze faltered momentarily before he spoke, his voice heavy with sorrow.

"Loving someone doesn't mean you need to be in a relationship with them... and it doesn't always starts with claiming them as 'yours'," he explained, his words carrying the weight of his own heartache.

Jungkook felt a pang of empathy as he listened to Taehyung's confession. "Sometimes, it ends with wishing for their happiness, regardless of whether it's with you or someone else," Taehyung continued, turning to meet Jungkook's gaze once more.

"I love him enough to let him be happy with another." Taehyung concluded, his eyes betraying the pain he tried to conceal.

As tears welled up in Taehyung's eyes, he immediately averted his gaze away from Jungkook.

"There's nobody else for me and I don't want anybody else, Jungkook..."

With an unspoken understanding between them, they leaned against the building's edge, the breeze carrying away their shared sorrow. Taehyung retrieved a cherished photograph from his pocket and handed it to Jungkook, who accepted it with confusion.

It was a photo of Jimin he took when they both worked on one of Taehyung's project 'Ethereal Beauty'.

Upon seeing Jimin's radiant smile captured in the image, Jungkook looked up at Taehyung, who smiled proudly.

"He looks beautiful, doesn't he?" Taehyung remarked, his voice tinged with pride and affection.

Jungkook nodded in agreement, a soft smile tugging at his lips. "He is," he replied sincerely.
