AUTHOR'S POV
Amidst the lively atmosphere of the cafeteria, the group enjoyed a peaceful lunch. Laughter and conversation filled the air, creating a warm ambiance. The two couples at the table, including Jimin and Jungkook, were wrapped up in their own world of shared glances, soft words, and the occasional touch.
Jungkook lovingly fed Jimin with a spoon, his eyes reflecting the joy of seeing Jimin's appetite return as Jimin happily munched away, and the table echoed with the sounds of clinking cutlery and the cheerful banter of friends.
As the group chatted, Jin voiced the concern that had been on his mind. "Hey, guys, I haven't seen Taehyung in a while. Is he okay?"
The others nodded in agreement, their expressions mirroring the worry etched on Jin's face. Jimin's gaze fell to his food, and with a sigh, he revealed the truth.
"Taetae has left," Jimin murmured, his voice carrying the weight of their painful farewell. "He said he'll help his father with their business in the States." A cloud of sadness lingered over Jimin as he recalled the bittersweet goodbye, and the others shared in his sorrow.
Jin reached out to pat Jimin's back gently. He offered a reassuring smile and asked, "When will he come back?" Jimin could only manage a tight smile, his uncertainty about Taehyung's return adding to the heaviness in his chest. He doesn't know what to answer that question too.
Observing the scene unfold, Jungkook and Yoongi exchanged a knowing glance. Yoongi, with a sigh, flashed his trademark gummy smile at Jimin. "Hey kid, I know we can't replace what you two share, but we're all here for you." Jimin's eyes met Yoongi's, gratitude shining in them for the understanding and support offered by his friends.
"STOP!!" LET ME GO!"
They turned their heads as they heard shouting from outside. The students surged toward the source of the commotion like a tide drawn to the shore. As the audience assembled, their collective gasps became a hushed symphony, eyes widening at the unexpected scene unfolded beyond the school ground.
Outside, Minji was surrounded by a few cops. Her protests, laden with defiance, were met with the steely determination of the officers. "I didn't do anything wrong! You can't arrest me!" she pleaded, her voice a desperate plea for understanding.
One of the cops, stern-faced and unmoved by Minji's pleas, continued with the arrest procedure. As the handcuffs clicked into place, he explained, "Miss, you're under arrest for kidnap for ransom crime. You have the right to remain silent. Anything you say can and will be used against you in a court of law."
"No no no no," Minji sobbed while shaking her head as she tried to defend herself amidst the onlookers. "This is unfair! You can't do this to me! My father will hear about this, and you'll regret it!"
The officer maintained his professional demeanor, escorting Minji towards the waiting police car. "We're just doing our job, Miss. If you believe you're innocent, you can present your case in court."
The silent whispers of the crowd amplified the humiliation she felt. The journey to the car felt like a walk of shame, as she felt the stares and murmurs of the students who were watching the scene with a mix of shock and confusion making her cower in humiliation.
Jungkook, who was observing the scene with a satisfied smirk, reveled in the spectacle alongside his hyungs. They found a twisted satisfaction in Minji's downfall, deeming it a well-deserved consequence.
"Well.... that was embarrassing," Hobi trailed off with a shrugged,
"Why are they arresting her?" Jimin suddenly asked with confusion written on his face as he looked at Jungkook who just ruffled his hair,
"They just did what had to be done," that was only Jungkook said leaving Jimin more confused.

In the hallowed halls of the police station, the air resonated with the haunting symphony of sorrow. Minji sobbed relentlessly. Tears flowed down her face like an unending stream, and her hands remained bound by the unforgiving embrace of handcuffs and cold metal bars. She pleaded with her father; desperation etched in every tear-streaked line on her face.
On the other side of this harrowing tableau stood Minji's father, a man visibly struggling to contain the storm of frustration within him. He pinched the bridge of his nose, a feeble attempt to quell the tempest raging beneath the surface. Beside him, Minji's mother, torn between frustration, disappointment and confusion.
The police officer recounted the grave transgressions committed by Minji. The disappointment etched on her parents' faces deepened with every word, casting a shadow over the family's once-unblemished reputation.
Minji, her voice a mere whimper through the sobs, pleaded with her father to spare her from the cold clutches of incarceration, "Daddy please, help me get out of here. I don't like being here,"
His frustration erupted into a thunderous shout, the reverberations echoing through the cold, indifferent walls. "Then why the hell did you do that?" he demanded, his voice a raw manifestation of his anguish.
Minji was now utterly shattered as she sobbed harder, her broken apologies whispered like fragile echoes in the somber space. Her father, eyes ablaze with disappointment, admonished her with a piercing gaze.
"I didn't raise you to be like this!" he declared, his voice a bitter cocktail of frustration and disbelief. "And out of all people, why the Jeons?! Do you understand the problems you've caused us?!" He gritted his teeth, his questions hung in the air like an unanswerable riddle.
"You've tarnished not only your name but our family!" her father continued, the weight of each word pressing down on the room.
Her mother, tears glistening in her eyes, voiced her own pain. "How did you become like this?" The disappointment in her voice was a dagger, cutting through the heavy atmosphere.
"Have I failed being your mother?" her mother trailed off, the sadness in her voice almost too much to bear. They did everything for her, they loved her, gave her everything she wants, spoil her because Minji was their only child, so they tried to do their best, to be the best parents. So how does this happen?
"I'm so sorry, Mommy," Minji managed to utter with a voice that cracked under the weight of shame. She gripped the cold metal bars tightly, unable to meet her parents' eyes. The depth of her remorse rendered her silent, aching with the knowledge that she had betrayed their trust.
"You've dirtied our name by your own selfishness," her father declared, each word a condemning verdict.
"I'll be the one calling the arrangement off because you've humiliated us enough not only to Jeon Jungkook, but because I'm sure the Jeons wouldn't want a daughter-in-law who's out of her mind."
Minji widened her eyes as she desperately tried to attempt to halt her father's decision, "No daddy! You can't do that! please..."
But he had already sealed her fate. "I want you to face what you've done," he said, the weight of his gaze making Minji's heart skip a beat. "We won't help you out of this, so don't ever ask for forgiveness because I'll never forgive you.... and you should learn from your mistake."
Her father walked out, leaving Minji on her knees, the weight of her actions crashing down on her. The tears flowed without restraint, the echoing sobs a testament to the depths of her despair.
Her mother, casting a final look of both sympathy and disappointment, uttered the bitter truth that hung in the air. "You did this yourself," she said, and with heavy hearts.
With that, Minji's parents left her to confront the consequences alone.
"NO MOMMY! Don't leave me here! I'm sorry please.... d-don't leave me here..." Minji called out to her mother as her eyes followed their back, clinging to the cold bars, her pleas met only by the haunting echo of her own grief as she embrace the aftermath of her own choices.
