AUTHOR'S POV

The dawn of a new day bathed the surroundings in a soft golden glow, sunlight creeping to Jimin's bedroom curtain. The group returned from their short trip yesterday morning, yet something had shifted in the dynamic between Jimin and Jungkook. The camaraderie that had blossomed during their journey seemed to deepen into an unspoken connection, leaving the others intrigued. Though veiled, the subtle hints of Jungkook's newfound affection towards Jimin did not escape their keen observation.

Their short vacation has come to an end, and they were back to school again making Jimin groan, stretching and yawning, his shirt riled up, exposing his tummy as he reluctantly got out of bed.

His thoughts momentarily drifting back to the moonlit confession that night, the memory brought a smile to his lips, founded a motivation as he happily prepared for school.

As Jimin buttoned his uniform, his grandmother's voice floated upstairs, "Sweetie~ there's a handsome young man outside. Do you know him?!" called his grandmother from the kitchen.

Curiosity furrowed his brows and he hurriedly made his way downstairs. Jimin greeted his grandmother with an affectionate hug, "Goodmorning," as she repeated her question.

Intrigued, he made his way to the front door, opening it revealed a scene straight out of a heartwarming tale. There stood Jungkook, leaning casually on his car. A smile, genuine and unrestrained, danced across Jungkook's lips as their eyes met.

Jungkook took slow strides towards the blond-haired boy, hands concealed behind his back, holding something special. He halted at the steps of the front porch, gazing up at Jimin with a fond smile that never wavered.

"Hi," he greeted softly, the affection evident in his eyes. Blushing furiously, Jimin managed a shy "hi" in return, the warmth of the moment lingering in the air.

"You didn't tell me you were coming," Jimin confessed softly, his eyes reflecting a mixture of surprise and joy.

"I wanted to surprise you," Jungkook replied, his smile deepening. With a flourish, he revealed the hidden treasure he held—an elegantly wrapped bouquet of a mixture of white and yellow daffodils.

Jimin gasped, bringing both hands to his mouth in disbelief. "You didn't?!" he exclaimed, his eyes widening.

"I did," Jungkook affirmed, clearly pleased with Jimin's reaction. Jimin accepted the bouquet, smelling the flowers and thanked the taller with pink hue adorning both his cheeks that only fueled Jungkook's desire to pinch them.

"Sweetie, you never told me your boyfriend was going to come." a voice chimed in, startling both Jimin and Jungkook. They turned to find Jimin's grandma standing at the front door, her eyes sparkling with amusement.

Blushing even deeper, Jimin stammered, "Halmeoni, this is Jeon Jungkook. Jungkook, meet my grandma." Jungkook smiled warmly at Jimin's grandma, who furrowed her eyebrows momentarily at the name but quickly dismissed any concerns, deciding to focus on the present moment.

"What a handsome man you are, Jungkook sweetie," she complimented, making Jungkook shyly acknowledge her words.

Jungkook respectfully bowed 90° degrees, prompting Jimin's grandma to chuckle. "Oh, a very respectful young man too."

"Halmeoni, Jungkook is not my boyfrien—"

"Yet,"

Jimin immediately looked at him with wide eyes and averted his gaze, cheeks flushed, while Jungkook only beamed with pride, casting a sweet smile at Jimin's grandma who was observing the interactions, she chuckled, savoring the joy in her grandson's eyes — ah... young love...
