3rd Person POV
Hye Jin and Rang were seated upon a bench in a park, which was rather hilarious as this was not the first time they had a serious discussion at such a location.
It seemed as if the circumstances that had happened years ago still had an air of familiarity to her, and she was indeed able to reminisce about that day.
The only different variance compared to that past incident was that Hye Jin was not experiencing a mental breakdown, and Rang does not have any recollection of that previous occurrence.
They sat still for an long duration, with neither of them saying a word. Hye Jin appeared to be waiting for Rang to speak first, whereas Rang was taking his time to choose his words carefully before voicing them.
Rang proceeded to ask "What is it that you are hiding?" directing his gaze towards Hye Jin.
Hye Jin asked "Will you believe me" with an air of uncertainty in her voice.
Rang responded, "No. I have no reason to." he said flatly then continued saying, "But I'm willing to do so."
Hye Jin responded by turning her head towards Rang, expressing a hint of surprise on her features, which then slowly vanished away. She then nodded her head in an affirming gesture as she averted her glance and fixed her gaze back towards the front.
"I came from a different universe, similar to how we had arrived here," Hye Jin started to reveal.
Her words caused Rang to exclaim "What?" in a startled tone, showing his bewilderment towards her statement.
Hye Jin then went on "The whole concept is rather complicated, but, I will try to explain as much as I can,"
Even if she isn't revealing the total truth at least she isn't saying a lie that could backfire at her. It hurts her to not just collapse into his arms and tell him how much she had missed him.
Even if she desperately wished to, she had no capability to. Not only did it ache her to witness how Rang, Yeon, and Ji Ah don't have any memories of her, but it also pained her to be a suspicious person to Rang and Yeon.
