3rd Person POV

The darkening sky was no match for the exhaustion that lay heavy upon the group, particularly upon Hye Jin, who'd been unusually tired all day. With the thought of just eating and crashing somewhere already firmly on their minds, the trio found a place to have their dinner.

The duo of Yeon and Rang made themselves comfortable at their table, but Hye Jin seemed reluctant to join them, instead preferring to sit alone at a different table.

The two of them didn't seem to mind her choice, and instead began to enjoy the steaming bowls of noodles set before them.

While Yeon was focused on his food, his eyes darted toward Rang and he immediately noticed that Rang had already eaten his boiled egg.

Without missing a beat, he picked up the boiled egg from his own dish and carefully placed it onto Rang's bowl.

"What is this?" he asked when he saw the egg come into his view.

"I don't like eggs." Yeon replied with a shrug.

Hye Jin, who was sitting alone, paid no mind to the two as they continued to eat their meal. She remained silent and still, only offering a quiet gaze from the corner of her eyes.

However, in that gaze she harboured a subtle hint of bittersweetness, perhaps due to the nostalgia that came with witnessing Yeon and Rang enjoying themselves.

She couldn't deny that she felt a hint of loneliness and longing at that moment, but she kept quiet and simply revelled in their presence.

"Didn't know you were this picky even at this age." Rang said with a scoff. "How pathetic."

Ignoring Rang's harsh words, Yeon asked, "I want you to stay with us for a month."

"No thanks." Rang answered without a minute to think through.

"At least think before you answer." Yeon said, trying to change his mind.

"Thinking won't change my answer." Rang said slamming his chopsticks on the table.

Yeon was eager for Rang to stay with them, as he knew that neither he nor Hye Jin was familiar with the era in which they were situated.
