3rd Person POV
"I can do this... I can do this..." Hye Jin chanted in her head as she felt a tingling sensation all over her body.
"Did I do it?" she asked herself out loud.
She opened one of her eyes to see if she did and she was in for a surprise. She saw standing right in between a crowd in the middle of the road. She opened her other eye and twirled around to look at her surroundings.
"Where the hell am I?" she asked herself. "This doesn't look like 2020..."
Hye Jin then heard the sound of a horn, when she found the source she tilted her head to the side in wonder.
"What the... how back did I go in the past?"
Soldiers in jeeps were heading towards her direction. The vehicles stopped and the tropes all got down and stood in line on both sides of a small area, creating a border between the people walking around.
Then one of them went and opened the door for their Commander.
As she was watching them, she noticed something off of the coner of her eyes. She turned her head to her side and her eyes widened when she realised what it was and tried to move away but she was a second too late and collided with two men who came flying and fell on the ground.
The tropes all came to a defence stance when they saw three people near their Commander.
"Who are you people?" thesoldier yelled towards them as he and the others pointed their guns or rifles towards the three. "Protect the Commander!" he instructed.
The three of them got up from the ground and that's when Yeon looked towards Hye Jin.
"Choi Hye Jin?!"
"Lee Yeon?!"
"Freeze!" the soldier yelled at them.
"What are you doing here?"
"What are you doing here?"
"I asked first!"
"I don't care. Answer me!"
"Hey! I said freeze!" the soldier yelled again.
"Ugh! Damn it." SaidYeon in frustration when he looked around.
His sight then fell on the stone that had fallen on the ground, seeing that both Hye Jin and the masked man looked at it too.
Looking up, Yeon was surprised to see yet another familiar face. "Huh?"
"What?" Hye Jin asked.
When Yeon pointed towards a direction, it was then Hye Jin's time to get shocked.
"Ki Yoo Ri?" both said simultaneously.
They also noticed an object flying towards them at a very high speed. Both of them followed the object with their heads. And when it hit the ground, chaos erupted.
The people around ran, desperately trying to be away from the attack. While the protesters all gathered around and made the officials busy with them.
"For Korea's independence!" the protesters chanted.
"Ugh! Shit, great. Just what I wanted." Hye Jin mumbled in pain, trying to get up from the ground that she had fallen for the third time today.
She saw Yeon crawling away from her and towards the crowd, which confused her.
Yeon tried to grab the stone but the crowd made it hard for him as the people's foot kept kicking it further away from his reach.
Then a man picked it up from the ground and Yeon watched him do so while laying flat on his stomach.
The thief marvelled at the stone and smiled mischievously.
"Hey..." Yeon called out.
The thief looked at Yeon and then fled making Yeon stand up from the ground and run albeit with a little struggle.
"Hey, hey! You!"
"Shoot them!" the soldier commanded as they all started shooting at the protesters.
Seeing that Yeon stopped and rerouted towards one of the soldiers, grabbed onto his rifle and hit him with it, causing him to fall behind and take down one of his men.
After that, Yeon tossed the rifle to the man closest to him who was looking at him stunned as were some of the protesters.
As Yeon started to rush off, Hye Jin managed to stand on her two feet and followed after Yeon, not wanting to be left behind a chaos and an era she wasn't familiar with.
None of them noticed the masked man standing in the distance, watching them run off.
