Once we reach Lexis' house, he picks up the two bags before coming around to where I'm seated. He opens the door and motions with his hand for me to get out. I oblige and walk the short distance between the car and his house.
Lexis follows right behind me and places the bags down once we reach the front door. The whole car ride had been silent since I refused to talk to Lexis. He had tried to make small talk but I simply turned my head and stared out the window.
Unlocking the front door, Lexis picks up the bags and waits for me to go inside before coming in after, shutting the door and locking it.
I walk to the kitchen and grab a glass of water, drinking the whole cup. Lexis enters and places the bags on the counter, starting to unpack them.
"So there are people coming around today, I need you to behave and I mean behave. My boss is going to be there and he doesn't tolerate disrespect," Lexis says as he hands me a bar of the Toblerone.
I roll my eyes and open the chocolate. "Whatever."
"I'm being serious here, Faye. Don't mess around," he says looking me straight in the eye. "Just for this one night."
"I make no promises." I shrug, eating a piece.
Once the bags have been unpacked and everything's put away, Lexis takes me upstairs. He opens the door to the room I'm currently residing in - or better yet, being held captive in - and waits for me to go inside.
"They're going to be coming around three," he says taking his phone out of his pocket and looking at the time. "That's in ten minutes."
"And I care because? Aren't I just going to be in this room, planning your murder?" I ask and Lexis scoffs.
"A very unsuccessful plan I'll tell you that," he mutters. "And no, you're going to be present since my boss wants to meet you. God knows why. Be ready."
"'Be ready'? Have you forgotten the fact that I'm wearing the same clothes I was one day ago?" I ask, pointing down at my outfit.
"Right, crap. Okay, I'll get one of my friends to bring some clothes round-" he starts but I cut him off.
"No, no, no. Nope. Never. Nu-uh. I refuse to wear someone else's clothes. That's disgusting, God knows what they've done in it."
Lexis sighs in annoyance. "Bloody hell, Faye! Can you not just listen to one thing I say?"
"Why should I? I'm standing here right now because you've kidnapped me, not because I fucking want to. I don't have to listen to a single word you say!" I growl, throwing my hands up in the air for exaggeration.
"You know what, I'm not doing this. I'll give you the clothes, you can either wear them or stay in you own. I don't fucking care," he says before slamming the room door shut. I hear the multiple locks being put in place and wait until Lexis' footsteps have gone down the stairs.
"Stupid, annoying twatbag," I mutter under my breath.
Possibly half an hour later, the door opens and Lexis enters holding a small plastic bag. He chucks the bag at me and since I was lying on the bed, unprepared to catch anything, it lands on my face. Lexis chuckles and with the bag still on my face, I flip him the bird.
"The shit in there is new. Wear it or not, Cupcake, they're going to be here in a couple of minutes," he says.
I get up off the bed, picking up the bag. Looking in it, I bring out the clothes and am quite pleased when I notice the price tags still on them. "Okay, assface, take me to the toilet."
Lexis rolls his eyes but leads me to the toilet. I enter and lock the door behind me. I look up in the mirror and cringe when I notice the mess that is my hair. Sighing, I grab the band from around my wrist and tie my hair into a messy ponytail. Buns are too overrated.
Pulling out the clothes, I take off my current ones and put them on. The outfit consists of a plaid red and blue shirt and blue skinny jeans exactly my size - not even going to question how. I had taken off my converses when we got back to Lexis' house and decide they would be fine with the outfit.
I mentally applaud whoever put this outfit together, take one last look at my appearance and leave the bathroom.
"You decided to wear it after all." Lexis smirks, looking me up and down. "You look good."
I roll my eyes. "Nice to know. But who put this outfit together and how the hell did they know what size I was?"
Lexis lets out a laugh. "I did."
"You did?" I repeat, unconvinced.
"Yup. Just put a bunch of crap together that I thought would look good. As for the size, my friend looked to be about the same as you so it was all down to luck." He winks.
I walk back into 'my' room and put my converses on. The doorbell goes off downstairs and Lexis turns to me, all humor from before gone. "Behave, Faye."
"I'm not a dog, you can't order me around, you expired tub of yogurt," I say as Lexis places his hand on my arm and drags me down the stairs. He gives me one last warning look before he opens the door.
"Boss is running late, Lex, he'll be her-" A familiar voice starts before he notices me and his green eyes widen. I blink again, making sure the figure in front of me is real before ripping myself out of Lexis' grip and hugging the boy. "What the hell are you doing here Faye?" He breathes out, hugging me back.
I release him from the hug as realisation dawns on me. "Hold on a second, the real question is, what the hell are you doing here, Flynn?"
"Wait, you guys know each other?" Lexis asks, confusion etched onto his face.
"More than know each other," I growl, glaring at a guilty-looking Flynn. "He's my goddamn cousin."
