In the tail of the trial and Joker's sentencing, there had come a lot of anger within the city of Gotham. Not just for the Joker, but for the mayor, for Falcone. It was quite amusing, for the people that seemed to ravage the streets and tear stores apart were the people that Bruce and the Batman ought to be decent. Once again, proving to Diana that Joker's theories were somewhat right.
Quite because of this but also because of his will to dominate her, did Roman come with a certain request for her. He felt that his business and his pride were at stake of her independence. However, it was known for a fact that Diana was not independent, nor would she ever be independent. She liked living off of other people; it was easy.
She did find that, though she meant not to engage in any act of violence again, she felt the need to apply to that addiction. So, this time in Roman's name, she did whatever tasks she could find, just slightly to satisfy that need. Though, she had not killed anybody for him. Nor did she truly intend to do such a thing. She conspired with Zsasz who assigned her to certain things. He and her could sometimes get along well. But only because he gave her that what she asked for. Only because he did not seem to use or even disgust her will to harm. He rather admired it. He allowed her to express herself in such a way without demanding anything of her, without commenting anything about it. But only because he was very much obsessed with her. He had gotten past his anger about her betrayal on both him and Roman. In fact, it almost seemed as if he had forgotten about the entire thing. Perhaps out of shame, perhaps because he was too obsessed with her. He would support her in any way he could. But he always remained loyal to Roman in the first place.
As Joker's executioner she had never philosophised about her brutalness, she had never given thought to what she felt. But on her journey to acceptance, she had faced that she liked hurting others, she liked to see others in pain. And she often wondered what it must have felt like to feel what they felt. She often asked them what they felt, not in flesh and bone, but on the inside. She hoped that she would be able to relate to their answers, there had never been an answer that fulfilled het thus far.
Most amusing to her was the fact that even though she was a thorn in Batman's  side, who was still pestered by the public, he never once acted against her. Nobody ever dared to act against her. Why? Simply because of her pretty face? She doubted it greatly.
Though Roman had seemed to offer his home to Diana very willingly and unconditionally, did he indeed ask for a certain price to be paid. He knew very well of Diana's role as executioner for the Joker, everyone who had seen the pair from up close knew of it. Roman was smart, unlike what would appear. He was indeed very easily fooled by Diana, but he was a hard businessman and cunning trader. For a few months he had allowed Diana to enjoy the comforts of his home, to be cared for by his money and to be wooed by him. But after some time, they had come to discuss their affairs in a quite professional way over a bottle of wine. In a way one could say that she had forced herself in that position.
"So," said Roman as he sat down by the fireplace and opposite of Diana.
She wore a light green satin dress which he had bought for her, she had done her hair neatly and it coloured a lighter blonde. He knew that, that very afternoon she had gone to get  fresh tan and haircut. Apart from that he could smell the sweetest and even exotic scents from her perfume and other products. Everything she had was his, which meant to him that she as well was his.
"Have you spoken to Bruce?"  he asked for she never truly had informed Roman of their relationship.
In fact, Roman believed that the decision to part had been quite mutual, which was understanding for he knew that Diana had become more demanding, and he knew that Bruce had been with another woman. But, for some reason the question all together seemed odd. She had never told him about what had happened between her and Bruce, nor had she ever given him the assumption that she and him shared any contact. But perhaps he figured that after the trial Bruce, as proper as he made himself seem to be, mut have contacted her. But it seemed Bruce had not believed her act.

General FictionGeorge Orwel once said that writers have become lame, for they avoid to describe things in detail and do proper research before they write a piece. Writing is valuable both aesthetically and informationally. That is what this is.
