In the following two weeks it seemed that all went well. Diana and Roman had not shared a disagreement for weeks. Besides, Diana's work for Roman delivered opportune results. She made her power well known towards Roman's employers, as well as Victor Zsasz. Whenever there was something that needed to be done, she and Zsasz would be the first to execute. Roman, on the other hand, spend most of his nights drinking and partying. And that is when two unfortune happenings crossed, quite at the same time.
During the last weeks several of Roman's properties had been reported to be burglarized. And even though it seemed that the actions had no relation to Roman's work, it was very clear that they had been performed by certain individuals. It seemed that the Joker and his Harlequin had been the ones who committed the various crimes. Though, for Joker's defence, Roman had not been the only target. Nor did the Joker perform these acts out of his own will, rather than the employment of some unsavoury individuals.
The other unfortunate occasion was that the Penguin had decided to tell Roman of Diana and Joker's conversation. Though, she knew that penguin could not have known anything incriminating. She knew that the thought of her and the Joker communicating alone, would drive roman to a certain extend of anger.
"You fucking bitch! you fucking stupid bitch!" shouted Roman in Diana's direction as he walked in circles in his bathrobe.
He was in the company of Victor Zsasz and Diana Watson that morning. It was no mere incident: Joker had robbed Roman once again. Another sign to Diana stating that he was simply better than Roman. Though the Joker had needed not to brag about it, she knew that.
"I didn't do shit Roman." Diana spoke, "Calm down."
"Oh really, you didn't do shit? Do you have any idea how much fucking money this is going to cost me? Do you have any idea what kind of incriminating evidence that freak could have against me?"
"Evidence," Diana started as if she had but now only awoken and had not been listening at all beforehand, "what evidence? Are you due to stand trial?"
For a moment it seemed as if he looked at her with both anger and deceit. Diana did not intend to threaten him with her words, she was not so silly to think it wise. But for some reason Roman was silly enough to think that she could possibly do such a thing. He looked at Zsasz for a moment, he hoped to confirm that what he thought. He hoped to see the sam4e look on Victor's face. But he did not. And for a moment his face turned completely red as he realised that there was some type of either adultery or betrayal at hand. It was the first time that he was suspicious of Victor and Diana.
Zsasz looked to Diana in the corner of his eye. He seemed tired. He seemed agitated even. It had been long since Diana had spoken to him of her intent to murder Roman. And he realised that he had agreed upon that by not warning Roman of this certain doom. In fact, he agreed. His life would be much better if Roman was gone. But he had never truly spoken such dishonour aloud.
At the time there was not so much of a sexual relationship between him and Diana, nor the intent of it. The only reason why he sided with her on the matter of Roman's unfortunate future, was because he wanted power. He wanted power instead of abuse. Even if it meant that he would have to kill a brother and a friend. For Roman didabuse Zsasz in many ways.
"What does that mean?" Roman asked quite aggressively.
But when Diana did not answer him with any cocky remark, he smashed his glass of orange juice onto the floor to what it scattered around the place. Zsasz had only flinched a little when the glass broke. Diana merely batted an eye. An anticlimactic response which happened to much dismay of Roman's liking.

General FictionGeorge Orwel once said that writers have become lame, for they avoid to describe things in detail and do proper research before they write a piece. Writing is valuable both aesthetically and informationally. That is what this is. A project that has...
