Risen on the fresh black linen sheets, Emani felt around for a muscular figure. She was shocked to see that nobody was there when she opened her eyes. Glancing to her left, she noticed a note on the nightstand.

Emani smiled so much that her cheeks turned red right away. He could have just texted her that, which made her laugh at what a cheesy romantic he was.
After placing the note back on the nightstand, she turned over and closed her eyes to have an exchange with Jesus before starting her day.
She got out of bed and proceeded to the connected bathroom, which had a large enough shower to hold roughly five average-sized people, a bath tub, and a double sink.
She checked all of her daily apps on her phone, including Instagram, TikTok, and iMessage for about ten minutes after turning on the shower to let the water get hot.
She opened the bathroom linen closet and took out a set of a grey towel and rag that matched. She tossed the towel onto the sink, undressed, and opened the glass shower door, allowing the burning hot water flow onto her body.
She rushed out of the shower, which was maybe a little too hot. She had only pushed the knob slightly past the room temperature line, so it startled her.
She turned the knob to the line between the cold and hot water before getting back in and she threw her head back at the pleasure from the temperature of the water. Back at home, if she had turned how shower knob to between the cold and hot water, it would've been too cold. But this—this was just right.
