You did not make it to find shelter in time.

You cling onto Sukuna's back as he climbs a really tall tree, his claws digging into the bark. With your arms wrapped around his neck and your legs wrapped around his waist. You press your face into his back, trying to not look down. But you did look down and shit you were so high up. The higher the tree, the safer you two are so you cannot complain.

You groan, feeling nauseous from the height and even feel the wind blowing into you. You quickly bury your face into his back. "Oi, brat did you look down?" Sukuna asked as he did hear you groan. Of course, he would notice.

"No," you whined, clinging onto him tighter. You didn't want to admit a foolish action. "You did," Sukuna said with a sigh. His lower hands grip your legs tightly and leaps up to a large branch. As he climbs onto the branch and stands, you carefully climb down from him and stand on the branch. You carefully sit down and lean against the tree, hugging it tightly. "You think Tenshi is okay?" You asked Sukuna as you tried to not look down. Tenshi has been gone for a while, ever since Sukuna left him behind in the flower field. You couldn't help but wonder if Tenshi could get hurt in a place like this, real or not.

"He'll be fine," Sukuna grumbles in annoyance as he gracefully sits on the branch. "He's not even real." You frown at his words and cross your arms against your chest. "Hm," you hummed as you pressed your forehead against the tree. Below you, you can hear rustling in the woods, loud insects, and other sounds. The wind blows harder against you and you grip on the tree tighter.

You glance over to Sukuna, who is sleeping as he is slightly slouched forward. How can he sleep like that? You're jealous that he can sleep peacefully in such a harsh environment. Your paranoia and anxiety are getting worse and you can't sleep as easily anymore.

Hours go by and you're still wide awake even though it's pitch black outside. Sukuna has not uttered a word as he is still asleep, you wonder how long has it been since both of you had a decent night's rest. Suddenly you hear a low growling and hissing, but it is distant. You look down to see those creatures from before. The herd where you and Sukuna had to be careful to not piss off the baby or else they would rip you two apart. You remember they can climb trees! You went to wake Sukuna up, reaching for his arm until you stopped in place.

Seeing him in this position, you can practically hear Nanami's voice. A very high spot, below you are creatures that if you pushed him into, he could die.

'He will never change, he is using you.' Nanami's words haunt you as a constant reminder. Your breathing grows a little quicker as you look back down to the ground. It was so high up, that maybe Sukuna would have a quick death before the monsters devoured him. This is why you did all this, to stop him once and for all.
