A/N: I'm alive!! I didn't get hit by a bus or have broken limbs. Though lowkey since I'm also publishing on AO3 I am terrified of the fanfiction writer curse.

But I'm still alive and well! Just working on the next Sukuna fanfiction 😁.

You're still sick.

You're running a fever and Uraume had to keep you cool down as well as taking lots of fluids. Sukuna gripped your hand as you lay flat on your back in bed. You keep reassuring him that it's just a cold and whatnot, but he cannot help but worry. The plus side is that your sore throat is gone.

"Sukuna, have you seen our new home?" You asked, your words slurring a bit. "Is it almost done? How do the kitchen counters look? Are the bathroom tiles amazing? Can we have a quartz countertop?"

"We can have whatever you want sweetheart," Sukuna said, frowning as your condition worsened. It seems the only thing you would like to talk about is the future and your new home. You smile, exhausted and feeling gross. The endless sweat, mucus, and whatnot, it's not attractive. You just feel gross all over. Sukuna keeps reassuring you he can handle the mucus and all that, you still feel bad though.

"It's our home, our home where we will make new memories and raise our children in, I want you to have a say Sukuna," You said, holding his hand. "I want that place to feel like home for you too."

"Oh sweetheart, I seem to recall my wife saying we could be broke and homeless and she would be at her happiest," Sukuna said, kissing your knuckles. "You're my home, nothing else could replace you."

You smile big, exposing your teeth until you cough harshly under the blanket. You rest your head against the pillow and turn to him. "I'm glad, you're my home too Sukuna, my safe haven."

Meanwhile, outside, Yuji is pressed against the door, trying to overhear the conversation.

"You know, back in the day, eavesdroppers would have their ears chopped off," Uraume remarked, startling Yuji. Yuji turned to Uraume, whispering harshly. "What the heck are you doing here?!" Yuji whispered.

"Stopping people like you from eavesdropping on the lord and his wife," Uraume said bluntly.
