A/N: Ya'll, your guy's comments made me cry happy and stuff. Please don't cry, I shall not drop this story and keep going until the end! Thank you so much for your kind words, I'll give you all the ending you deserve! Someone asked the percentage of how far we are into the story I would say eeehhh maybe 55-60 percent? Also didn't know what to name this chapter so I just put the song I listened to while writing it.

Yuji dragged you down the stairs, gripping your arm tightly. "Yuji, Yuji stop, we both know that thing doesn't really die!" You exclaimed as you tried to keep up with him. Yuji ignores you as he continues to descend the stairwell. "Yuji-!"
"Listen that asshole and I can agree on one thing, keeping you safe," Yuji argues as he turns to you. "You've seen what he's capable of, plenty of times. He will be fine." You didn't agree to that, you wanted to help Sukuna, he's saved you too many times for you to just keep running. Before Yuji could move down the stairs, both of you froze as you saw water rising on the stairwell. As far as you can tell you're on the second floor, so that means the entire first floor is flooded.
Yuji can feel you shake as he knows you're afraid of large bodies of water. Drowning is the least of your worries, it's what's in the water that makes you concerned. "It's okay, I'm here alright," Yuji reassures you. Yuji steps into the water first and waits for you. You clutch his hand tightly and step into the water as well. The water is cold and objects such as books, vases, papers, and anything is floating above the water.
"Take a deep breath," Yuji tells you as the water is now up to your thighs.
"If I die I hope it's by drowning," you muttered.
You and Yuji take a deep breath and submerge into the water. You almost lost your shit when it's very dark, the lights are going out one by one as the water takes over them. Yuji swims ahead of you and you swim after him. Already your lungs are burning for air, and you're not the best swimmer. Back then you would actively avoid swimming and the future would show you a few paths where you had to swim so you didn't bother.
You now regret not learning to get over your fear and improve your swim skills. Just as you swim after Yuji, a muffled scream escapes you as a dead body floats in front of you. Water fills your mouth and you quickly close your mouth as you stare at the body. Fuck that was too close. To your horror, the dead person's mouth opens and the blue-marbled parasite slithers out of the corpse's mouth.
