Danny woke up late, which to him is nine in the morning. He went down the stairs of the manor and into the kitchen to find Alfred gone.

Jason was in the kitchen mixing something in a bowl while Damien was reading a cookbook and telling him he was doing it wrong.

"It says to stir counterclockwise for three minutes." Damien argued.

"The direction I stir doesn't matter. It will literally make no difference."

Danny looked around the squabbling pair to notice something, "Hey guys, what's that on fire?"

"What?" They both asked at the same time. Damien glanced behind him, and Jason ended up dropping the bowl. The toaster was on fire.

"H-how?" Jason asked as he attempted to out it out. Danny put out the fire with his ice and unplugged the toaster.

"Why are you guys making breakfeast? Where's Alfred?"

Jason picked up the bowl and set the ruined pancake batter in the sink, "he went to go visit some family, so we're on our own for the time being."

"Yeah, maybe you should leave the cooking up to someone else. I'll do it."

Jason and Damien exchanged looks, "I am far superior to you, Daniel. I do not require your assistance in this matter." Damien stated.

"Well, I can usually make decent food, but I can sense there's going to be a fight soon, so Imma just go for now."

Danny chuckled, "Damien, you may be better at me in combat, but the kitchen is my battlefield. Literally. I've fought meals before. So leave this to the professionals, I doubt you've cooked many meals in your life."

Damien opened his mouth to protest, but as he thought back on it, Daniel wasn't wrong. He hadn't cooked much at all in his life.

"But if you want to stick around, I could show you what I know~" Danny offered.

"Very well, I'll observe your cooking skills and then judge your skills afterward."

Danny ended up making a fresh batter with different kinds like m&m pancakes and pancakes with cream, syrup, and fruit. Some of them were made in special shapes, too.

Along with the pancakes, Danny also made bacon, which Damien stated he would not be eating, and fresh squeezed orange juice, pre squeezed by Alfred before he departed for his family reunion or whatever Jason and Damien said he's doing.

Bruce was walking to the kitchen to grab some coffee to drink while he read his newspaper when he paused. He heard the sound of chatter and laughing. It was such a nice welcome sound.

"Dick really put glitter in the smoke bomb as a prank. That is hilarious." Danny said, wiping away at his teary eyes from laughing so hard.

"Yes, father had to take order and forbid pranks to our equipment as it became compromising to our missions."

"Wow, I think the best prank I ever pulled was pretending to get hit by a ray gun to make the mayor look bad."

"Who was the mayor?" Damien asked while handing Danny the utensils he needed.

"Vlad, you've met him. He had it coming. We had a sort of prank war going on."

Damein paused, "What's it like having a nemesis."

Danny groaned, "exhausting, painful, makes me want to scratch my own eyes out. Why? If you're thinking about trying to get one, I'd say wait till you're older because once you have one, that's that. It sucks trust me."

Damien scoffed, "You hate him, and he hates you, yet you both save each other's lives over and over again. If you really hated each other, why not just end the cycle."
