"SHUT THE FREAKING DOOR.. CHRISTIAN ASKED YOU OUT?! TELL ME ALL ABOUT IT, IRIS!" Jillian was screaming because of the loud music.

I thought that the party Benny was referring to is just a simple one but it turns out it was not simple. It's a literal party that you have been imagining... disco lights on the whole house, alcoholic and fruit punch station, a beer pong, and senior high school kids running towards the pool.

A mix of chaos and fun.

I covered Jillian's mouth thinking that somebody might hear us despite the loud music and busy crowd.

"Shushhh it." I warned her.

She raised both of her hand up as a sign that she understood it. I remove my hands on her and looked around the place.

"I was surprised with the question he asked me yesterday that I wasn't able to give him an answer,"

"That's tragic, Iris. You left the man hanging and thinking.." Jillian answered as she gulped her drink.

I took a sip from the fruit punch Benny gave me when I arrived at his place.

"I know... but what should I answer? I don't even know what to act or reply."

"I'll give that to you.. given that you have no experience in dating and even having a boyfriend.. zero." Jillian formed a zero with her hand. "Now's the time, Iris. Have a date with Chris before you leave!"

Jillian finished her drink before leaning her lips towards my ear to whisper something.

"Make out with, Chris. Now's your chance..." then she laughed so evil and winked her eyes at me before leaving me looking disgusted with traumatized ears.

I was still feeling disgusted when I heard a familiar voice behind me.

"Iris,"

I quickly look back.

"Chris.. uhm.. hi," I took a pause. "You're here,"

"Yeah, Benj invited me... about this party, it's for you he said. Your send off party? You're leaving Guzview?"

I nodded. "Yeah, I'm moving to Summerside. I'm taking my college at Harton."

The music got even louder and I couldn't understand a word Chris was saying.

"Can we go outside? I can't hear you," I pointed my ear and shaken my hand sideways as I sign that I can't hear well.

Chris leads the way and as we head out, people who I get bumped to greeted me.

"That was crazy," I stated as soon as we find ourselves near the garden area just a distance away from the pool.

As we walked our way here, Chris and I already got a refill of our drink. Jillian was at the bar station so she gave an alcoholic punch instead of a fruit punch.

"So, where are you going for college?" I asked.

"At Bernes, just here in Guzview still."

"Oh, that's great. That's where Jillian and Benny are attending their college too."

I wanted to keep the conversation going but unfortunately it just ended. Chris didn't open up a new topic and neither I could think of one.

We both silently sit there looking at the bushes and drinking our fruit punches when I suddenly feel that Chris is closing the gap between us.

I gulped and feeling kind a bit scared.

Is this really happening?

I mean, I know Chris for years already and we're friends... but I don't know if I should give it a try.
