Chapter 14

"You almost gave me a heart attack." I rolled my eyes as Jayse laughs while laying on the hospital bed.

"Next time, you should know what are the ingredients of the dish you're eating." Mom added.

Sebastian was waiting outside of the room while mom and I was with Jayse.

"I'll be right back," I stated preparing to leave when Jayse uttered something.

"Did Sebastian went home already?"

"No, he's outside." I answered back.

"Can you let him in?" Jayse asked.

"Yeah," I responded and walked towards the door.

I slid the door of the room and Sebastian looked back with a fainted smile.

"Is he sleeping?" he asked.

"No, Jayse wants to see you." I answered.

Sebastian looked unsure but I gestured him to go in and so he did. Mom was standing beside Jayse and when she saw Sebastian, she's trying her best not to grin.

Oh great, I'm sure mom is ready to make fun of me about Sebastian. How in the world that I told her that I really hate the guy but ended up being in a relationship with him.

I guess it's somehow like an intermolecular force that the more opposite, the more attraction... we felt towards each other.

"Thank you for taking me to the hospital, Sebastian." Jayse tried to smile while thanking Sebastian.

"It's nothing, You're welcome... kiddo." Sebastian tries to make light of the situation.

Sebastian then turned back at me before looking at mom. "I should go ahead, mom is already looking for me."

"Ah yes, you should go home. It's late. Thank you, Sebastian." Mom lightly tapped Sebastian's shoulder.

"I'll just walk you outside," I stated and went out of the room with Sebastian.

Sebastian and I walked along the corridor of the hospital and when we reached the parking, we bid our farewell.

"Drive safe, okay?" I reminded.

"I will. Promise me to have some rest and sleep, okay? Jayse will have a speedy recovery." Sebastian answered back and we both shared a quick hug.

"Thank you, really.. for bringing Jayse into the hospital." I stated.

Sebastian smiles as he nods his head. "You're always welcome, my love. Just call me whenever you need me. I'll always be there." And Sebastian planted a kiss on my forehead.

I waited for Sebastian to leave the parking before I went back inside the hospital. As I enter the room, Jayse was already sleeping.

"You and I are going to talk," mom excitedly stood up.

"Can we just do it outside?" I asked.

We both went outside and sat on the beam chair next to the room.

"So, when did you and Sebastian became a thing?" Mom cut to the chase.

"Just a week ago," I responded.

"So, this happened after the party?" Mom grinned. "Did something happened between you two? Are you pregnant?!" Mom touched my belly.

"Pregnant?! NO!" I exclaimed.

"That's a relief," mom sighed. "Does Elizabeth and Henry know about you two?"

I sway my head. "No one else knows beside me, Sebastian and now.. you. We both have talked about this already and we wanted to keep it between us first before telling anyone."
