Hate You, I Love You.

Chapter 1

"Are you really going to move house and school this summer?" Jillian asked as we walk along the hallway.

"Yeah, we've been staying there for a month already. I thought it was just our vacation house but it turns out... it's not." I replied, while taking out books inside my locker.

"I'm going to miss you," Jillian closes the door of her locker. "But don't ever forget to face time me.. okay?"

I closed the door of my locker and face her. "I won't,"

We were about to leave when Benny suddenly jumped in front of us.

"What's up pips," he greeted and went for a hug. "You're leaving in less than a week right?"

I nodded. "Yeah, I am."

"Benjamin," Jillian called Benny's attention.

"Yes, Jill?"

"You've got plans for our girl this weekend?" Jillian showed a mischievous smile.

I looked at them confused with what they are talking about.

"Of course, I would not allow Iris to go without having a send off party."

"Party?" I repeated.

Benny then placed and rested his right arm on my shoulder. "Yeah, I'll throw a party just for you.." and poked my nose while grinning.

"What? No.. no.. I'm sure your mom will not allow it. Let's just have dinner instead. My treat."

Benjamin and Jillian quickly disagreed.

"I already asked mom and she was down for it." Benny answered.

"All you have to do is show up at Benjamin's house this Saturday." Jillian added.

It took me a minute to answer.

"Fine, I'll show up." I answer in defeat.

We went to our classes and had a long day with discussions, activities, and some quiz. The three of us are in the same class so after the school bell rang, the three of us went out of the room together.

"Girls, I gotta go to the gym. Josh and the others invited me to play some hoops. If you want, you can come." Benny invited.

"I can't, Vince called me. He invited me for a date." Jillian grinned before throwing a question at me. "How about you, Iris. Are you going home?"

I couldn't answer right away. I was thinking of something to do but I don't know what. I'm not in the mood to go home this early.

"I'll just accompany, Benny." I answered.

Benny looked surprised but then nodded. "Great, let's go. See you tomorrow, Jill!"

"Have a great date," I whispered at Jillian's ear and we both laugh at it.

"You too," she winked and left me hanging.

'You too?'

I told Benny that I'll be visiting the library first and just follow him later at the gym. I went inside the library and went to the novel section to pick a good book for me to read.

I was scanning through the books when someone greeted me.

"Iris, right?"

"Yeah. You're... Chris?" I tried to recall his name.

We were in the same school club for two years now. We're in the same batch but he's in a different section.

"Glad you know my name," he chuckled. "I heard from Jillian that you're moving to a new university?"
