"Good luck on your first day of school, Iris."

"Thanks, mom. Gotta go to catch the bus." I gave mom a quick hug before getting out of the house.

First day at Harton and I couldn't be more excited to new adventures.

Right on time, when I reach the bus stop, the bus arrived and I hopped in and find a comfortable seat.

Jillian, Benny, and I were busy chatting that I was occupied the whole ride. The bus stopped and so I raise my head to see if I was at Harton but not yet. It was just another bus stop.

"Is the seat taken?" A girl at my age asked.

"Nope, you can have it." I replied.

After a few minutes, the bus stopped and it was at Harton. I stood up and the girl beside me stood up too.

We both look at each other surprised but she went out of the bus first.

"You're attending at Harton?" She first asked when we left the bus.

"Yeah, freshman. You?" I asked back.

"Sophomore, Chemical Engineering." The girl answered back.

"Freshman, Health Sciences." I responded.

The girl smiled as she introduces herself. "I'm Gwen,"

"Iris," and we shake hands.

"Do you want me to tour you around the campus?" She then looked at her watch. "I still have some time."

"Oh it's fine. I'll just wander around on the first day. Maybe you have something else to do. I'm fine, thank you."

"Are you sure?" She asked, then continued. "Well, if you need anything you can ask me. You can find me at the Chem building. See you around, it was nice meeting you, Iris!" She waved her hand and left.

First day of school. What could go wrong right?

I was walking on the sidewalk while looking around the university. The atmosphere feels nice. It has trees, benches, and an open field where students can hang out. Never I have imagine myself to be in a school like this... so prestige and people looked so smart.

I arrived at the main building to get my ID and my class schedule.

"Good morning," I greeted the woman that was in the registrar. "Can I ask if this is where I could get my ID and class schedule?"

"Good morning, can I have a name?" She asked back.

"Iris Ale Bernardo."

She typed on her keyboard and after a few minutes, she printed and took something out of the file drawer.

"Here is your class schedule and ID, miss Iris Ale."

"Thank you," I smiled.

The first thing that I did after receiving my ID is to check whether I look good or not.

I chuckled seeing my face. It's not good, but it's not that bad.

As I wore my ID, a student came to me holding a brochure.

"Hi there, are you a freshman?" She asked.

"Yes, hi."

She handed me one of the brochures she was holding. "Here is the directory and guide for the whole campus."

"Thank you," I reply.

"You're welcome. Welcome at Harton!" She grinned.

I opened the brochure and looked for the Pharmacy building. Once I found the building directory in the brochure, I started to tour the campus.
