The echoes of their argument bounced through the halls of the mansion, creating an uncomfortable environment. Yoongi, still processing the news, tried to connect emotionally.

"I never intended for things to unfold like this," he admitted, his voice filled with remorse.

Y/n, arms crossed, retorted, "How could you keep something so significant from me? Do you even trust me?"

Yoongi sighed, frustration clear in his posture. "It's not about trust. I was bound by a promise made by my grandfather, a commitment to protect you. I didn't want to burden you with the hardships of my family's history."

Y/n scoffed, "So, I'm just a pawn in your family drama? I thought we had something real."

Yoongi's gaze hardened. "It's not that simple. This isn't just about my family; it's about fulfilling obligations, regardless of how I feel."

Y/n shook her head in disbelief. "Obligations or not, I can't be with someone who sees me as nothing more than a duty. I deserve more than that."

Tension increased with each word. Yoongi, trying to sort out complicated emotions, tried to salvage what remained of their connection. "Y/n, it's not wild. I never anticipated feeling this way, but I need time to figure things out."

Y/n, frustrated and hurt, replied, "Time won't change the fact that you entered this relationship under with duties. I can't be with someone who doesn't see me for who I truly am."

As Y/n turned to leave, Yoongi reached out, his voice desperate. "Please, don't go. We can work through this. I need you to understand."

Y/n paused, a mix of sadness and determination in her eyes. "Understanding doesn't erase the hurt, Yoongi. Maybe we were never meant to be."

With those words, Y/n walked away, leaving Yoongi alone in the mansion. Scared of the consequences of his choices and the broken pieces of a relationship that had once held so much love.
