The Nerd that turned out to be Vampire-ish [Wattys2015]

CHAPTER 6: Will's new nametag

Today's a Friday and class starts at 8:30. I still have 2 hours to waste and a half. I usually go to class 30 minutes late and the logic behind that, is that I don't like to wait for the teacher. Most teachers I know arrives late, so I'll be late too, I may not be one of them but I like to play their game.

I went to Daisy's room guessing she's probably still snoring. I made my way in after knocking once. Daisy's right foot is dangling on the edge of the bed, where there's a big possibility that that will hit Kate's face – her roommate who's on the bottom bunk – if she gets up.

Daisy is obviously on the top bunk, she fell tons of times, magically goes back up and sleep like nothing's happened. And as always, her laptop is placed under her left feet, like it's a pillow. She probably fell asleep editing our film.

I took a paintbrush that was on her desk and gently run it through her dangling feet. Yes I'm tickling her to wake up, and she sprung up like a vampire that just woken up from its coffin. She looked at me with her laser red eyes and plainly asked... "Shit what time is it?!"

I lied. "Its 8:30." And handed her a towel and a basket full of her shower essentials. She hastily jumped out of bed and went to the bathroom like a zombie. I also returned to my room, timed her an hour before she knocks on my door and tell me it's still too early.

As I wait for her, I texted Jel and Allanah, asking where they are. Jel replied that she's already ready, and waiting for Al to hitch to school. I bet they'll also run late, they have to travel for an hour max, counting the heavy morning traffic in the city.

It was already 8:30 when we arrived at the school's gates waiting for the shuttle as usual, when a blue beetle suddenly stopped in front of us. The car's window came down, and a familiar face was smiling at us, it was Will.

"Hey princess, need a ride?" He asked with that princely grin of his. If this is anime, I can already imagine sparkles surrounding him.

"No its fine. We'll just take the shuttle."

"Just come on in hobbit." Tristan said without even looking at us. Will got out of the car and gestured for us to go in.

"Guess we don't have a choice huh."

"Consider this kidnapping." The nerd said smirking.

Daisy and I sat awkwardly at the back. I was about to introduce her to them, when Will got ahead of me. He looked at Daisy, held out his right hand and finished the friendly gesture with his perfect smile.

"Hi I'm Will, nice to meet you." He said to Daisy, who meekly took his hand, shook it, and said her name in a voice so low that a fly is the only one capable of hearing it. I can already imagine what's going on in her head. I know what you feel girl, don't let the sparkles blind you.

"I'm guessing she's your roommate?" asked Will.

"Nope. Apartment-mate." I said and Will just replied with a prolonged aaaah.

"Wait, whose car is this by the way?"

"Obviously mine." Tristan said in his usual duh tone.

"You were riding the shuttle the first time we met. So, I thought its Will's and you're his chauffeur."

"Long story."

"Short for, I-don't-want-to-tell-you story." Will and Daisy laughed at this, and I don't know if this is my imagination. Tristan was laughing as well, though there's no sound, but his shoulders were shaking.

"His car was still on the shop that morning. So that time when we met, I was waiting for him. He took his car from the shop first before getting me." Will as nice as he is, told us the real story, and it really did sound like Tristan is his chauffeur.
