I heard an opening of a door. My head stayed down as I watch my tears hit the floor. "Hey, why did you guys made her cry?" I felt Don's arms wrap around me. "Hey stop crying." He said as he shook my shoulders.

"That's no way to comfort a girl." I heard Kayla's voice with a hint of amusement. "And we didn't make her cry."

"You probably punched her again." I felt Don talk as his chest vibrates in front of me. I shook my head in reply to his accusation to Kayla. "Oh she didn't?" I felt his warm breath next to my cheeks. "Then why?" He asked again.

"Don you're pretty weak for crybabies." Kayla said. "She's not your little sister by the way. If you hadn't figured that out." The amusement in her voice didn't fade.

"She's just shocked to learn... or accept the fact that she's adopted." Jonas finally answered Don's question.

"It wasn't a big deal for me that I was adopted." Kayla said and I heard her feet as it touched the ground with a slight thud. Seconds later I felt her hand rubbing my back. "Don't let it affect you. Nothing changes if you're adopted or not. You are still their kid, and they love you, period. That's what matters." She paused, and lightly hit my head. "Now stop crying. Before I get really annoyed and punch you, again."

I laughed under Don's bear hug. I know it wasn't the appropriate response, but I'm touched by her words. Specially coming from mafia girl, the girl I thought was hard as a rock, it was weirdly amusing.

She has a point. I stopped crying as those words sink in my head. Slowly calming my emotions and is gradually replaced with the feeling of acceptance. So what if I'm adopted. The love my parents gave me were real. Kayla was right. That is what matters most.

Don let me go out of his hug but his hand stayed on my shoulders. "You're not going crazy are you?" He asked with a hint of amusement in his tone.

I shook my head. "I already am." That said, I wiped the tears on my cheeks and turned to Kayla. "Thanks for your words of wisdom, and heart-warming threat." She chuckled a bit and lightly punched my arm.

"Don't cry again. It's annoying." She walked back to the table and sat on it, again. "Now let's get back to work."

Jonas laughed. "She just seem cold but she's actually a softie." Kayla glared at her boyfriend. "Just accept the compliment babe." Jonas said and stood up, walking towards Kayla. He hugged her and then left a kiss on her frowning forehead.

So cute! Their too sweet, I can almost feel the ants crawling in my body.

I heard Don growl. "Get a room." He said and took a chair to sit right next to a big screen on the wall. "Oh yeah. Almost forgot. Your phone just got on 30% of battery. I think it's enough to send a text or a call." He took my phone out of his pocket and threw it to me, which I caught perfectly. "And I read your inbox. You might want to share about Anna Rinaldi's message?" He raised an eyebrow on me.

Wow. Is it that easy to transform from nice-caring-guy into an annoying donkey that fast?

"You do realize that that's invasion of privacy right?" I asked as I crossed my arms. Don simply shrugged.

Kayla perked up from her seat, and Jonas also straightened up. "Cut the chase and tell us what you read Don." She growled at Don who's twirling around on his computer chair.

"Who lit your tampon partner?" Don smirked. "But fine. I saw a forwarded message from Anna. You know that assigned bearer to that gay macho guy, Jack Brown?" He paused to look at Kayla, wanting to see if she does know the people he's talking about. Kayla nodded and gestured for him to continue. "Well, this girl's message contained an information of a supplier to that blood supplement." He pointed at my vitamin on the table.
