Someone deliberately took the covers off my bed and pulled my feet down. "Wake up sleepy head!" I heard Jill's voice ringing in my room.

"It's still early!" Actually, I have no idea what time it is, but my body clock sure knows it's not yet time for me to wake up.

Jill kept pulling me down till I was on the floor. The cold feeling from the tiles, feels like a bucket of iced water, well, it's more like I've landed to a frozen lake.

"What the fuck." I bolted up from my sleeping position on the floor, and jumped back to bed. Then I heard Jill groan.

"Come on kid. We'll be late." I can sense the desperation in his voice, so I cut him some slack and sat up. I scratched my eyes and looked at Jill. He's wearing an all-black outfit, his hands were on his hips and finished the look with a pissed off expression.

Then I looked at the clock, and its fucking 2 am! I've only slept for an hour, since I've ate Divina's delicious scrambled eggs with bacon bits. I grudgingly looked at him, now we're wearing the same expression.

"Hey, have you checked the time? It's barely two!" I crossed my arms.

"Well, you're oath taking starts at three. We still need to travel to the island." He grabbed my arm and pushed me to the bathroom. "Now brush your teeth!"

I groaned, but still did what I was told. Jill feels like a big brother – I mean, gay big brother – which is more interesting.

I popped my head out the bathroom. "Hey Jill, I have something to ask."

"Yeah what is it?" His voice came from the walk-in closet.

I wanted to ask about his feelings for Jack... But I guess that's too nosy of me. I should wait when he'll share his own love story himself, without me asking to spill his beans.

"Are you Divina's younger or older brother?" I really can't tell to be honest, they look like they're in the same age, but not twins either. They're features are so different. When he didn't reply, I came out the bathroom, and went to where he is. I stood there in awe as Jill placed a ton of dresses in the table.

"Oh yeah. Your question. Uhm, were on the same age." He simply said, but made my head rack, like my brain just experienced a mental earthquake.

"You're twins? Fraternal?" He stopped pulling out clothes and laughed.

"No kid. We didn't come from the same vagina." He then looked at the clothes he laid out and picked three. He stepped towards me, and placed the top three dresses one by one in front of me. Then he picked one, the grand winner.

"Uhm, so Marcus, was like multi-tasking with two girls at a time." I said, and he laughed again.

Jill then handed me the final dress and pushed me towards the dressing room, behind the mirrors. "I guess you could say that. Now, try that on."

I came out with a flowy strapless knee length dress. That almost looks like a watercolor painting, by how the different hues of blue blend in together. It's like a gradient mix from light to dark, making the end part almost black. I love it.

Jill was smiling beside me, by the look on his face he loves it too. He then made me sit into a stool he placed in front of the mirror, and takes out a makeup kit from the table.

"Hey! I'm allergic remember?" I said to him, as I looked at his reflection while pulling out a handful of makeup from the kit.

"You're a bad liar kid." He said and I laughed. Am I that obvious?

He then turned the stool, so that I'll be facing him and my back on the mirror. When he started putting makeup on my face, I did a fake sneeze.

"See?" I said and he just laughed, but that didn't stop him from continuing with his work. I think he's drawing my eyebrows. I crossed my fingers, hoping I wouldn't look like an alien afterwards. Eyebrows has the power to make a big difference with your face, which is pretty scary if you're doing it wrong.

"You're a bad actress as well." He said which made me sigh. There's no stopping him. "So, have you decided on what branch you'll choose?" He asked, which made me ponder and panic at the same time.

"Uhm. No. I'm not fit to be in any of those three branches, I mean two, not counting the last one." I said.

"Why? Don't you want to be a vampire?" I shook my head.

I want to embrace life with limited time, because if I had more, I'd slouch and laze around. I think that would be a pretty boring life. Plus I'd only get fertile once, what if I want another child... But I'm not going to be a bearer either. It sounds like a road to sluthood.

"If you can't decide for yourself. The council will." He paused, and dipped a fluffy brush into a light pink blush-on powder. "From what I know, they'll study you for a couple of months before they put you into a branch." Jill said and my eyes popped open.

Someone will decide my fate?

"Is that a good or bad thing?" I asked him.

"Depends. You might hate or love their judgement." He said and twirled my stool so that I can finally see myself in the mirror.

"Holy shit." Jill laughed at my creative use of words. "You're good!"

I love how he did my makeup. I think this is what people call the no makeup look. I laughed at the logic, he puts on so much effort on my face, to make it look like it's not there. But it's still nice, my skin looks fair, my eyebrows is perfect, and the lip color he chose was amazing. And my hair? He made it loose, but curly on the end. I can now trust him with my life.

A knock on the door made both of us turn, and we saw Will by the door, also in an all-black outfit.

"Woah! Is that you princess?" Will walked towards me and cupped my face.

"Ah yeah." I said and tried to take his hands off, before he ruins Jill's work.

"I could kiss you right now." Will said, his hands still pasted on my cheeks.

"Ah not gonna happen. You'll ruin the lipstick." Jill said to him and grabbed his arm. "Now let's go. Divina probably sent you here to fetch us."

Jill dragged Will out the closet, and shouted that I should hurry up and wear the shoes he picked out for me. It was cute, a black strapped heels. Wait, were going to an island, and I'll be wearing this? It will sink in the sand! So, I changed into a black flat sandals. I think Jill is going to kill me but oh well, comfort over fashion.

I've met with the others on the entrance of the house, all of them wore black. They look like they're going to a funeral, I'm hoping it's not me they're going to bury.

Divina went to my side, and hell she looks gorgeous, even though she's wearing an oversized hat and sunglasses in the middle of the night. Her dress was a black floor length spaghetti strapped dress, with a very open neckline, showing off her cleavage. Anna on the other hand, has on a short-sleeved knee length dress. The boys? Well, they all look the same, with black long-sleeved shirt, polo, or sweater.

"Are you ready?" She asked and handed me a black coat. I thanked her because it was pretty chilly outside.

"I guess. I just have to repeat some words right? While I raise my right hand?" She laughed, and so did Marcus who just joined us.

"Your words should come from your heart dear. A pledge of loyalty and trust." He said to me.

Holy shit.

A man then stepped into our group and said that the yacht is now ready to sail. So were now setting off to the said island. I sighed, guess I just have to do an impromptu speech.

As the others got into the yacht, Tristan stood beside me as we wait on the dock for our turn to climb inside.

"Just a heads up. You'll have to slit your own finger in the ritual." He whispered to my ear and smirked as he went inside first.

I didn't care how ungentlemanly that was, on how he intentionally forgot the rule of ladies first. For my head was too focused on what he said, especially the slicing part. I felt dizzy imagining the blood and the pain.

I looked behind. I should run.
