I was still in shock even though a few minutes had past, when I last heard that mind-numbing truth about my identity. And for some reason, I believed what this albino person had said. He looks like someone with authority, someone who doesn't joke nor lie.

There are so many questions in my head right now, but what stood the most was, who am I?

I know for sure that my parents and my sister are humans, I can feel it, I was also sure that I am like them. Is my whole identity a lie? Who will I believe? This albino stranger, or the family that took care of me? But my guts tells me that this person standing right in front of me does tell the truth, which is something I'll start to deny.

My body's reaction to all this confusion, was to cry. So I buried my face with my hands, and wept like a baby who just got lost in a mall. Well, I am lost, mentally that is.

"Hey, hey." I felt someone rubbing my back, and by the sound of the person's voice, I could tell it was Jill.

They seriously have late reaction time. Weren't they hiding behind the trees as well? But I guess, it was a good idea to come out after I've fully grasped the situation.

"Sevyr are you sure of this?" I heard Divina's voice.

"Yes." Sevyr simply said.

"I can smell the hint of vampire blood as well. She's a half-blood." Marcus said. "I wasn't able to point it at first, well until now, I can literally smell her blood."

I heard it from Tristan before, when I kept asking him about their race, he said that age heightens their senses. Meaning, the older ones has greater sense of smell, which explains how Sevyr easily detected my flaws, and so did Marcus.

"She's still in shock. Will you guys give her a break?" Jack's voice was surprisingly strong, and it undeniably got their attention.

"Yes. Please bring her back to the house." Divina's voice grew closer, then I felt her in front of me. "I'm sorry dear. You have to be strong, okay?" Her voice was soft and calm. I simply nodded.

Jill helped me stand up and Anna was also right there by my side. She held my hand and put on a band aid to my injured finger, then she looked at me and smiled.

"You'll be fine. They'll figure things out for you." Jill said, and drew me closer to him.

I realized that my two friends are missing, Will and Tristan. I guess they were probably held at a safe distance to avoid the smell of blood. The difference between the young and the old vampires, is that the old ones knows the difference between a vampire's blood and a human's blood, whilst the young only knows that it's blood and they thirst for it.

The four of us, Anna, Jack, Jill and I, went ahead towards the yacht. Obviously, my two friends are oblivious of what just happened, for they stayed in the beach away from the ritual. When they saw us, they immediately run to our group.

"So how'd it go? What branch did you chose?" Asked Will excitedly.

"None. She's a half-blood. Now move." Jack simply said and grabbed Will, to make room for Jill and me to walk back to the yacht.

I can tell that I'm not the only one who's in shock right now. I looked at Tristan and Will's expression for a brief moment, and their faces were indescribable, I guess it was a mixture of doubt and shock. Well, I can relate, mine was probably the same when Sevyr suddenly dropped the bomb on me.

"Let'z go. The captain'z ready to zail." Anna's voice rang, in this silent yet intense moment. We all climbed on the ship, including Tristan and Will.
