I kept walking backwards as I bumped into the glass wall. "Please don't dissect me like a frog." I begged them with teary eyes. My gustiness had long been gone since I've come to realize that this people probably has the credibility to kill me. I looked at them waiting for a reaction, but all I heard was laughter.

"Dude. Chill. His not a mad scientist." Donkey said.

Jonas stopped laughing and straightened his posture as he looked straight into me, still with those warm eyes that seems to say – you can trust me, I'm not going to hurt you – kind of look. "We're just going to ask some questions, and probably run some tests. But I promise you it won't hurt."

Don elbowed Kayla, and the two of them somewhat had a silent conversation with the use of their eyes. Kayla grunted as she shot her hands up in the air. "Fine." She paused and looked at me. "I'm sorry I punched you." She said and walked out of the room.

Don just shrugged. "You'll get used to it." He run a hand through his dark hair and looked at me with humiliation in his eyes. "I'm sorry too. Sometimes I'm just too desperate to close this case. Sorry if I was kind of a jerk."

I just blinked, shocked that they're not the bad guys I thought they were. After I was able to sync in every word they said, I nodded. "Apology accepted. Can I go home now?"

"No. We still need you." Don simply said and headed out the door as well. "Come out if you're hungry." He said before he disappeared.

I looked at Jonas, the only person who hasn't left yet. "But school." I lied, because honestly I don't care about school. I just want to get out of here.

"Fuck school." Don popped his head back inside the room. When he didn't hear any reaction from me, he walked towards where I stood and grabbed my hand. "Come on. You're with us, well for now. So just roll with it."

I sighed. I guess I don't have a choice. If I don't roll with it they'd probably slit my throat.

"I'll take care of school." Jonas shouted behind me, and I briefly looked at him, to give him a small smile of gratitude.

Don dragged me out of the laboratory and into another door on the far end. When he opened it, the next room looks like a normal setting of a modern apartment, and a big one at that. I can clearly see the second floor from here, the design of this place was like an open type building. The room had a very high ceiling, and the center had a big crescent moon shaped type of couch with a coffee table in front of it. "Welcome to Squad P-8 Headquarters." He said as he opened his arms to showcase their place.

It's pretty cool actually.

"The other teams are still out on a hunt, so it's just the four of us here." He walked towards what looks like their living room, and there we saw Kayla sitting on the black couch I talked about, while cleaning her gun. I gulped when my eyes landed on it. Don pushed me down to sit next to her. "I'll get something to eat."

Don't leave me with mafia girl, she's got a freakin gun!

Kayla turned to me. "I wish our squad's control group is here. So that they can just erase your memory and forget all of this mess." She sighed. Her voice wasn't that scary anymore, she actually almost sounds sincere.

"I wish for that too. But without this mess I think I wouldn't have found out about my fucked up past. I'm still hoping you guys are wrong though. I don't want to be the daughter of a murderer." I blurted my thoughts out without thinking that I just opened up to her. Something that I don't do even to my friends. And to think she happens to be my kidnapper.

She smirked. "I didn't expect to hear that." She paused and concentrated on her gun as she starts putting all the pieces back together. "If it's my choice. I would have let you go. You'll probably just slow us down." She finally had her gun in one piece, and it's dangerously placed on her hand as its pointing right at me.

"Can you, uhm, put that down? Please?" I politely asked while pointing at her gun. She smirked again and put the gun on the table. When she did, I asked her what's boggling on my mind. "What do you mean by slow you down? I thought I'm just staying here for research?"

"Well yes, but after that, we'll take you with us to hunt your mother. You'll be our bait." She said and stood up, taking her gun with her. "It was Don's idea. It's pretty good, so I'll play my cards on it."

So they're taking me as hostage. I take back what I said, they are spawns of the devil.

"What did I miss?" Don suddenly waltz in with a cup of noodles in hand, and he gave me one too. He looked at Kayla. "I didn't make you one, coz you hate it." She just nodded in reply.

Kayla smirked before going back inside the laboratory. "Enjoy your date." She said and disappeared.

I mentally spit, out of utmost disgust. Never would I dare dating a jerk like this guy. But I held all my anger in, one wrong move and I'll probably end up being tied again. And I can't afford that, I need as much freedom as possible, because if I'd see a single chance of escaping, I'll take it.

"So. You don't mind spicy Korean noodles right?" Don turned to me, and I simply shook my head. "You don't talk much do you?" He asked, and I faked a smile.

Ugh. He's starting to get on my nerves. Why is this donkey so annoying? How thick is his skin to casually talk to me after seeing me as a mere pawn? I bit my tongue. To distract myself from my boiling temper.

"Wait. Don't finish that yet. I'd get something to drink." He said and sprinted back to the kitchen.

I looked around to see if I can find some possible escape routes, and there's none. I don't even see any doors around here well aside from the lab... the lab! I haven't checked if there are other doors aside from the one in my room and this one here.

Don came back with two beers, he then put it on the table and continued eating his noodles. Suddenly, Kayla walked back in... with my vitamins in hand. "Where'd you get this?" She asked and the scary version of her is back. I gulped at the look of her face and her gun, that's safely intact on her belt.

"It's delivered to me monthly." I said, well, most of the truth and left out the part where my parents are the ones who delivers it.

"By who?" Kayla came closer.

"I don't know. It's delivered to the dorm by an unknown person. The dorm staffs just hands it to me." I made up a story. We don't have staffs in our dorm.

She squinted her eyes. "You're lying. TELL-US-THE-TRUTH or else." She warned me, and I bit my tongue.

What to do?

I took a deep breath and honed up my hidden strength. "Give me my phone. I'll handle this myself. I will give you the answer after." The two hunters both had a question mark on their faces. "I won't call the police, I swear with my life. I just don't want this people that I'll contact, be involved with this mess. Please trust me."

Kayla sighed. "You're calling your parents." Damn, this girl is sharp. "Fine. Wait here. I'll get your phone."

Don laughed. "Wow. She has a soft spot for you." He said and slumped back on the sofa, as he continued on where he left, eating his noodles.

Mafia girl... is very confusing. Automatically Katy Perry's song played in my head.
