It was past midnight when I started yawning like a cow. I really need to go home. Yes, I did say I'll stay, but only for a while. I stood up while they're still fixated in the movie.
"Nerd. Where's the dryer?" I asked Tristan who's so focused at Game of Thrones.
"Near the kitchen. Look for a door." He said without even removing his eyes from the screen.
I went to the kitchen and there's a small hallway, I walked towards it and found a door on the side. I peeped and saw a washing machine. I opened the dryer and there's my clothes fairly clean like it's newly bought. Tristan really fits the role of a housewife.
I closed the door and decided to change here. I took off the shirt and boxers, and I'm now only in my black pair of underwear.
As I took my clothes from the dryer, on cue the door opened. I looked behind and saw Tristan with wide eyes. I think were mirroring each other's expression. It was I that first broke eye contact, and screamed.
"Close the door asshole!" I shouted and he automatically did the deed, he closed it with a loud bang.
"Sorry." He said behind the door. "I was just...checking if you found it. I didn't know..."
"Go away!" I replied with another shout.
My chest has held its own race track, and my heart is beating so fast, it would probably leap out from my mouth anytime soon.
This is so embarrassing!
No one has ever seen me like this, I've never even once wore a bikini at the beach, or anything that would show lots of skin, that boxer was the closest thing I've worn to short shorts.
As I walked out of the laundry room, fully clothed. Tristan was there standing on the hallway, his back rested on the wall. "Victoria I'm sorry. I really am." He said, eyes fixed on the floor and his hand was on his hair, messing it further.
I massaged my temples and sighed heavily. "It's partly my fault. I forgot to lock the door."
"And I forgot to knock." This time he looked at me red faced.
I laughed, didn't know it was this easy to forgive him. "Enjoyed the view?" I asked. This time he laughed, easing from the tension. Probably remembering the time when he said the exact words, as I was ogling on their portraits.
"I thought you'd slap me. The moment you'd step out of that room." He said, his hand rubbing the side of face.
"Nah. It's reserved for your worst mistake."
Will walked towards us. "Hey what's going on here?" Late reaction much. Tristan and I exchanged looks, with a hidden message that tells, should-we-tell-him?
"Hobbit crossed paths with a cockroach." Tristan simply said, with a poker pace, which his pro at.
"What the fuck! We need to call 911." Will said and we all laughed sarcastically. Then he looked at me. "Where you going princess?"
"Home. I'm really tired." I looked at my laptop. "The animations done by the way. I saved it on the flash drive, I've also made a tutorial about it. It's not YouTube quality though."
"Thanks for that. But can't you wait till tomorrow? It's pretty late." Will said with a concerned face. "If Tris would let me use his baby beetle, then I'd drive you home." He looked at Tristan, who's giving him a pointed look.
"No way. My beetle can't survive your way of driving." Tristan paused and looked at me. "And I'm not driving to your place at this time either. Last time I went there, someone scratched my car."
