Bex woke up early the next day, putting on her running leggings and sports top before grabbing her shoes and tying them. She got her Air pods out of their case, tying her hair in a high pony tail and twisted the handle of her door gently as to not wake Jackie up. She shut the door gently, turning around to see Olivia sneaking out of Cole's room. She stopped, unsure of what to do. Olivia looked at her guiltily before quickly running down the stairs. Bex followed shortly after shaking her head slightly.
"Hi, Olivia." Nathan called from the front porch as the girl ran past him.
"Bye, Nathan." Olivia smiled.
"Hey. You run?" Nathan asked, tying his shoes when Bex sat down next to him.
"Helps me to think." She replied.
"Yeah, it's good to get away sometimes, right? Do you wanna go together? I just gotta finish lacing up." Nathan offered to which Bex nodded.
"Does Cole often have friends stay over?" She questioned, watching as Olivia's car pulled out the driveway.
"Friends?" Nathan scoffed. "Sometimes. I guess he doesn't wanna get caught. " Nathan offered.
"Why?" Bex questioned as the two started stretching.
"Because my dad would kill him." Nathan laughed quietly.
"No. I get that. I mean, why is he such a..." Bex trailed off, unable to find a suitable word.
"A guy?"
"You're a guy. I don't see you doing that?" Bex countered.
"Cole's always gotten away with things other people wouldn't. Especially with girls, but it wasn't always this bad." Nathan explained, stopping at the front door opening with a squeak revealing Cole, Danny and trailing behind them Alex, holding a baseball bat.
"You're up early." Cole commented as he walked towards the blonde, looking her up and down.
"You too." She said turning as he continued walking past her.
"Chores." he replied, turning to face her as he walked backwards before re-joining his brothers.
"He used to be the best quarterback in the county, but he smashed up his leg last winter. Can't play anymore. Cole lived for football. He's different now." Nathan stated quietly, making Bex look between him and the blonde walking away from her. "I usually warm up with a jog, sound good?" he added.
"Mm-hmm." she nodded.
On re-entering the house with Nathan, Bex found her sister running up the stairs in her dressing gown.
"Gotcha!" Jordan yelled from behind the camera.
"Jordan! That's not funny!" Jackie yelled. Nathan and Bex looked between each other confused.
"Oh, you just got pranked!" Jordan continued.
Bex walked up the stairs after her sister, closing their room door to see a panicked Jackie pacing.
"Hey, what happened?" Bex asked, approaching Jackie.
"Someone put bleach in the shampoo!" Jackie cried.
"Okay... it can't be that bad, lets take a look." Bex offered, removing the towel from Jackie's hair.
"Is it bad?" Jackie asked.
Bex stared in shock at the large orange streaks that littered Jackie's hair. "Listen, You're gonna need to cover it at school today, I'm sure we can find you a hat to wear and then we will buy a box dye when we get the chance today." She reassured.
