"Is there anything left? 'Cause I am starving." Cole announced, entering the kitchen and grabbing a bread roll as he took his seat. Bex following behind as she silently took her seat in between him and Danny, noting the looks the pair got around the table.

"You know you're supposed to call if you're running late, right? I mean that's the whole reason you have the phone." George stated, staring Cole down across the table.

"Where have you guys been?" Katherine questioned looking between the two late-comers as she shook her head.

"Yeah, we, uh, went to the watering hole. Lost track of time." Cole shrugged, trying to ignore the irritation in his parents voices.

"Listen, I..." Bex tried to apologise, looking between the two adults.

Katherine shook her head lightly, smiling at the girl as George raised his hand in understanding.

"Bex, excuse me." George said, silencing the girl as she slumped in her seat when he turned his attention to the blonde next to her. "Hey, Cole, you know anything about a bet with Isaac this morning?" he questioned.

"No. No, doesn't ring a bell." Cole shrugged, continuing to eat his food.

"I didn't get that." George replied, irritated by his son's reply.

"Seriously, Cole?" Katherine scoffed.

"It was a joke, okay?" Cole scoffed, raising his arms in annoyance at the bombardment of his parents.

Bex exhaled as she looked at him with disgust. How could he deny something he had full knowledge of... sibling rules or not, he betrayed her trust and left her sister with no back up.

Everyone looked around each other at the table but Bex kept her eyes trained on Cole as he continued eating his dinner which she had yet to touch.

"Maybe ask Jordan what he's got on camera." Alex scoffed, making all heads including Cole and Bex's to turn to him.

"Dude, seriously?" Danny yelled across the table.

"You just had to bring me into it." Jordan screeched, almost being drowned out by the other siblings arguing over each other.

"I don't even know what to say." Katherine sighed, apologising deeply to Jackie.

"I have to fix my hair." Jackie stated, pushing up from the table and leaving the room.

"Can I at least help?" Katherine called after her.

"No, thank you." Jackie called back from the hall.

Bex looked to Cole who once again went back to his dinner. She leant in to speak in his ear. "You're unbelievable." She scoffed, pushing off her chair with a slight scraping sound when she left the room as Cole dropped his fork, making a small sound as he whipped round to face her back.

"Bex c'mon." He gaped.

"Jordan." George seethed from the other end of the table. "Go get the camera."

"Mom!" Bex yelled, shooting upright as she awoke from her recurring nightmare.

Bex often found herself on the side of the road in pitch darkness. Her biological parents memorable red truck speeding past her as the wind swept her hair into her face.

She heard a loud crash followed by a female screaming. When she moved the hair out of her eyes she found herself in a hospital waiting room. In the distance she saw herself and Jackie sat holding hands whilst their Uncle Richard paced in front of them.
