I woke up the next night right on time with my shift. To bad i woke up in an extremely comfy bed. At first i was confused. This was a bedroom...something I've never had before. Covering me was silk, and beautifully embroided comforters.

Yesterday came back to me. The sale, princess Ariel, Amber, Tali and the king. I groaned inwardly to myself.

"Goodmornin." Amber came in with a tray of food.

"Mornin." i replied.

She sat the food on a glass table opposite of my bed. she took a seat and so did i.

"Your dress as promised is finished. I even started on a few others."

I nodded as my mouth watered staring at the food before me. Pancakes, an omlet i think, grits with cheese, strawberries, and orange juice.

"Is something wrong. I made it myself."

"oh. ugh nothing. is all of this for me?" i asked amazed.

Never back home would i get so much. Madame loved her girls thin with some curves. So my main meals, when i get them, would have been fatty, super sweet, or veggies.

"Yea. i ate earlier. Dig in." amber insisted.

so i did. i practically inhaled the whole tray.

"Well, hopefully you'll remember your manners at the ball tonight." she stood and grabbed my tray.

"What ball?" I stood sucking strawberry juice from my fingers.

If only Ariel could see just how much of her etiquette stuck.

"Your meeting the king tonight." Amber reminded me.

"So they have to throw a big party for it?" i plopped down onto the soft bed.

"Yes. It'll be fun. Plus you should really try to impress him." she suggested.

"Why should i? A vampire of all things. Its bad enough he's the king and we all have to kiss his ass but now i have to suck up to him to marry him? No thanks. maybe Tali would be more interested!" i crossed my arms and pouted.

Amber's jaw dropped.

"You know how lucky you are? You have a chance to be a princess!"

"Well if I'm so lucky why can't some other girl do it?!"

"Because..." she thought for a while but then just left with the trey from my room.
