Sorry for the short update. The story is finally coming to an end with a sequal following. I have no idea how many updates are left. I want to say two.

If I could ask for votes and comments that would be great. I really like reading what you all have to say. I'd really appreciate it.

Raheem and I spared in the open field. Although he was stronger I was faster. It wasn't long before he had me in a headlock.

"I could easily snap your neck right now. What's the strongest thing on your body?" he yelled at me.

Its been like this for the last two weeks. They were shoving so much information down my throat I could choke. The main thing keeping me on the reserve was trust. They still don't fully trust me.

I answered by plowing my elbow into his groin and throwing him onto the ground. Extending my wings I shot up into the air without a running start. I was getting better.

I hit back down onto him with my weight. I landed on top of him, but as I did he changed forms and I was slung off.

"No fair!" I yelled rubbing my wings.

"Plenty fair! You have to be ready for anything. How can you protect Chris? Or yourself for that matter? Vampires are lethal, they will kill you."

Dusting myself off I grudgingly nodded. Two weeks didn't seem like enough time. Who knew how long I'd be stuck here until I was worthy enough?

A black wolf jumped from who knows where onto Raheem. He was able to morph just in time. Although the black wolf was smaller it could obviously handle its own. Raheem couldn't keep up.

It was interesting and terrifying all at the same time. It took two minutes until the black one had Raheem's neck in its mouth.

A small crowd gathered around and I hadn't even noticed. They started cheering and whooping and I joined in.

When they changed back I was surprised to know that Layla was the black wolf. Raheem grabbed her for a bear hug.

"My prodigy." He said clapping her on the back.

I still didn't like her attitude towards me, but I knew in that moment I wanted Layla to train me.

Later that evening I spent some time with Alecsander. He had just enough time in his day to not be kissing Layla's ass. We sat in the family cabin. It was a spacious place that the weres spent time together.

"You want Layla to train you? But Raheem is one of the best." He reasoned.

"Exactly. I want the best if I'm going to do this. My life isn't the only one at stake here. The weres, Tali, Maggie, my mom, my sister, the other humans, Chris...even you." I countered.

He groaned. "I'll ask then."

"Thank you. Thank you!" I jumped across the table to hug him and kiss his cheek.

The families milling around stared at us like we were crazy.

"Calm down princess." Alec held up both hands like I was crazy.
