I whimpered as she pulled away. Unconsciously i tried to pull her back but she pushed my hands aside.

She giggled at my weak attempt. She sealed my wound with her saliva and it healed immediately.

"You should rest now. We'll eat dinner with everyone in three hours." Ariel brushed loose strands from my face.

"How long will this last?" i asked referring to my weakness.

"Just today. Then it should just be a dizziness." she reassured. "Rest. Amber will be here soon to get you ready."

It was all i needed to fall asleep.

I woke up to a sleeping Ariel snuggled into my side. I slipped away and went into the bathroom.

i showered and cowashed my hair. By the time i wrapped myself in a towel i felt something wrong.

I needed to check on Ariel. It was a need more than anything. I had to be with her.

In bed tossed and turned whimpering in her sleep.

"Ariel?" i called.

she was having a nightmare. Not an actual danged. I let out a breath.

i shook her shoulder in an attempt to wake her up.

she bolted upright in bed and i jumped back.

"Oh Jothi its just you!" she hugged me hard.

"Ariel your choking me." i moved her back.

she cleared her throat and fussed over her hair and dress.

Amber came in with her equipment.

"Evening." she called opening my walk in closet and pulling out a dark red sweater dress.

"Does this suit the evening Ariel ?" amber asked.

Ariel's eyes could have burned a hole through the very nice dress.

"Its cute and good for November weather." i convinced.

The dress was a deep red with long sleeves, a little past knee length, and for once no low neckline.

Ariel didn't like it.

she went into my closet and came back with a dark green dress.

It was long sleeved, mid thigh length, with no back.

"This suits the evening." she handed it to me.

Ariel picked out underwear and handed it over. While amber set up in the bathroom Ariel leaned against the door frame.

"Smokey eyes like last time. Try some perfume, I want her hair in a fish tail."

She directed everything to be done.

In the mirror the girl staring back looked....beautiful.

"You have out done yourself." Amber smiled at her work.

"I'll go get ready. You go sit next to my brother." Ariel left the room at vampire speed.

"If you don't mind me by saying this, I'm happy for you, but why keep it a secret?" Amber asked lowering her voice.

"What?" i asked not sure what she was hinting at.

"The bond." she replied.

My blood ran cold. She knew? Did Ariel want people to know?

"What are you talking about?" i asked my voice shaking slightly.

"Isn't Ariel your mate?" she asked.

I choked on air. The shock and sudden intake of breath didn't mix. Then i started laughing.

"Amber...no."

"I just thought..."She nervously started putting away things.

"Wrong. ok? Why would we be mates?" i asked incredulously.

"I've seen it happen before. Mates know no sexuality." She shook her head.

It scared me slightly that i may be the mate of a vampire. Even if i may be in love with Alec.

I left the room for the dining hall. The same room i saw Tali and Christopher eating.

I found Tali in a ligt blue strapless dress talking to him.

When i joined them he smiled at me.

"We won't be dining inside today. Its to nice of a night. Were just waiting on Ariel to go to the balcony and eat." he filled me in.

Soon Ariel made her entrance.

She descended the stairs in a light pink, one strap dress. if i could call it that. It was so short it was barely a shirt. Her hair was staightened perfectly. Half back half infront.

i felt power and excitement pour off of her like rain. She truely was amazing. For a vamp.

We all sat at a round glass table on the balcony. Ariel by me, i by Christopher, Tali by chris also.

It was honestly an uneventful night. The sun was ascending through my window so i tiredly climbed into bed, dress still on.

In the dark i could make out a small figure entering my room.

A sharp wave of emotions hit me. To fast for me comprehend. Except one strong one. Anger.

"How dare you." Ariel hissed at the foot of my bed. "This evening was perfect but you barely talked."

"I barely know him." i yawned.

Ariel came to the side of my bed and towered over me.

"You will make him love you." she demanded.

I squinted in the dark. The sun outside being covered by my thick curtains. I could just make out a very thin and short night gown.

i sighed.

"I'm thirsty. I must drink." she insisted.

i scooted over in my bed to make room. she crawled in and i rolled onto my back.

i offered my neck as she played in my hair.

"I wish ny hair could grow this long." she dropped the lock of hair she was playing with and bit me.

I sighed on the endorphin rush and the great feelings rolling off of Ariel herself.

This time i didnt want the high to stop i leaned closer to her. Her arm wrapped around my back pulling me tighter.

That's when her feelings changed. My eyes flew open i started pushing her away. Off guard she hit the floor with a thud.

Shock, anger and hurt flashed before her eyes before she disappeared.

I tried to go to sleep but i felt everything she felt. i couldn't sleep not with what just happened.
