Jothi

"Hell!" I yelled as my head slammed against the ground again.

Once again Raheem had me pinned beneath him and out of breath. Not in the pleasurable way more so of him kicking my ass.

"I can't work in years of fighting experience in just a few weeks Jo. You can't expect to leave here so soon." he got back on his feet and extended a hand to me.

"I have to. I need to get back to Chris." I need to protect him I added to myself.

"Chris Chris Chris. It's all that comes out of your mouth eh?" Alec walked over to us his wings extending casually.

It was still a new idea to me to just have my wings out and about like that. He seemed so at ease around the weres. Something I should get used to.

"What do you want ? were training." I snapped still half heartedly upset with him.

He was so different from back at the camp. He acted more serious. Heat spread in my chest just thinking about him admitting to loving me then being snatched away from me.

"Training to get your ass killed? Ha! I don't understand why he's so important to you. Your safe here."

"Because whether you like it or not he's my mate. I can't just forget about the people I love." I shot back.

"You damn sure forgot about you cousins. Your sister Maggie? What about me?" he spat the last part

Alec chuckled and shook his head. I don't know what about him riled me up so but I unleashed it onto Hakeem that moment. All the emotions struggling inside me I unleashed that moment.

"Oof!!"

His back slammed against the grass and I backed away.

"You did it." Raheem got up and clapped me on the back. He seemed concerned looking from Alec's disappearing silhouette to me.

"I know you to know each other, but how?" Hakeem asked.

"We grew up on camp together." I muttered walking in the opposite direction.

Chris

"Your highness you really shouldn't be out of bed." The nurse hurriedly tried to keep up with me.

Nothing could keep me in that room right now. Not with what Tali told me yesterday. This was a horrible misunderstanding. She couldn't be pregnant. If so how could it be mine?

Finding Tali in her room I locked the door behind me and stormed over. She was to busy putting on makeup to spare me a look.

"Explain yourself. You don't just say something like that without preamble." I practically growled at her.

She sighed lazily and tossed her strawberry blonde curls over her shoulder.

"I'm having your baby Christopher. You really shouldn't be dragging this thing out with Jothi."

"I love her. She's my mate and fiancé." I barred my fangs but it didn't seem to bother her.

She stood and walked to me swaying her hips.

"If you love her so much why were you in my bed so many nights?" she smiled coyly.

No matter how much I always surpress the beast within me he had to come out. I threw her into the wall and held her there.

"You were sex and blood. You understand? Nothing to me." I growled.

"I'm something to you now. Or at least that's what your precious kingdom is going to think."
