One by one we filed out of the tint and into the night air. our "work attire" not giving anyone much protection from the October cold.

Men hypnotically followed girls to tents where they would get their money's worth. I wasn't in any man's interest as of yet.

"You know when you're in deep thought like that, men don't find you attractive."

i turned around to face who ever had the nerve. i was met with blonde over grown hair and green eyes. A tall and muscular build. The other most obvious feature? His large and powerful white wings.

"Well no wonder the boys are always all over you, you're never in thought." i smirked which earned me a smothering bear hug.

"Alecsander get off of me!" A few girls looked our way. They rolled their eyes in seeing Alec and i.

"I'm sorry what did you say?" He shot into the sky with me in his arms. i clung to him for dear life. Why you ask? Because my wings were retracted into my back and for now i was at his mercy.

"What you think Jothi?"

I took a daring glance down then regretted it for the sake of my stomache. We had to be atleast five hundred feet up.

"What do you mean? The camp? yes its very pretty." I rambled.

He laughed and i felt it vibrate through his chest.

"i wasn't talking about the camp princess."

"Then what are you talking about!" i yelled to tired for his antics.

"Out there." He motioned with his chin to the land over the fence. i sighed. Not this, not again.

"Alec-" He cut me off.

"Don't give me that tone. You use to wonder....you use to dream about leaving." He was thinking about the past.

"That was four years ago." i whispered. "Things change."

"People change." His eyes hardened on me .

"I didn't change, i grew up." i said through gritted teeth. This is my life. Running away wouldn't change that.

"You gave up." he looked away from me.

my eyes stung. The fact that he thought i didn't want freedom hurt. I wanted to leave here, but i had family here. Or atleast as close as i can get to it. If i tried to leave again and we were both caught again...he knew what would happen.

"Just put me down." i wanted to be away from him just in case water works started. I was known for being a cry baby.

"What ever you want." A gleam of mischief sparked in his eyes.

"Oh no Alec-" he dropped me. The wind was hitting me so hard. I desperately gropped for something, anything.

I couldn't scream, it was all happening to fast. I looked up at Alec of flew near. The people below screamed seeing me flailing and falling.

Then at the last possible second my wings sprouted from my back and i flapped them to stay afloat . i came so close to hitting the ground on my back.

I shot daggers at Alec.
