"What about Braavos?" Joanna turned her head to Oberyn. They wanted to go there so badly that at the end of the day, they totally forgot about it. They only had a few days to spend at Sunspear before they would leave. And although they were there for only the third day, so far not a single word has been said about their trip. She would be quite disappointed if they ended up going nowhere. Even more so when she was looking forward to it. The trip was in no small part what got her out of the melancholy that hit her after her father's death.

Oberyn was standing by the window he was looking out of. He was looking at the gardens where several of his bodyguards were strolling. Joanna held Robert in her arms and rocked him, trying to put him to sleep. Yes, she had wet-nurse for such things, but she felt much better when she was alone with him. When she devoted herself to him. She was making up for everything she missed with him.

"And would you like to go?" he was still looking out the window. He did not turn to Joanna.

She no longer looked at Oberyn, in the meantime, she managed to lower her head to her son. She gently patted him on the back, rocked him in her arms, or squeezed him.

"Of course. All the more so when you kind of promised me and I don't like it when someone doesn't keep their word."

Oberyn didn't answer her this time. He just stood silently with his back to her. Joanna sighed, taking a few steps closer to him, closing the distance between them to an absolute minimum. And while she managed to hold Robert with one hand, she placed the other on Oberyn's shoulder.

"What are you thinking about when you don't listen to anything I said?" she sounded irritated. She didn't like this, although sometimes she did the same thing herself. She pulled her hand from his shoulder so that she could hold her child with her other hand too. She was worried about him, especially when such small children could be so fragile.

"Huh?" Oberyn raised an eyebrow and finally looked at his wife. He bit his cheek from the inside and ran one hand through his hair. He straightened his tunic and took another look at what was happening outside. "I'm thinking about Ellaria and Doran. I shouldn't have killed her. If I had kept her here for a little longer, I would have taken everything out of her."

Joanna sighed. She even began to regret asking. She was angry that Oberyn was still thinking about her. She didn't care what those thoughts of his were about. He could think of her with hatred, or maybe he missed her. She was jealous anyway.

She took a few steps closer to the cot and put Robert in it, covering him with a blanket. She finally leaned against the bed and smiled.

"Have you considered asking one of your daughters? Undoubtedly one of them would know her motives and plans with your brother and eventually with us." Above all, it was motives with her, or so Joanna thought. From the beginning, Ellaria wanted to get rid of her so she could have Oberyn all to herself again.

"I don't think they would be able to tell me something like that. Not after I killed Ellaria." Oberyn stepped back from the window and walked closer to Joanna. He placed his hands on her hips and pulled her closer to him. Joanna closed her eyes and placed her hands on his.

"It's been a few months; they've definitely gotten over it. And I think they are afraid of you. Or at least they have some respect for you." She rested her head on the side of his and closed her eyes.

Oberyn laughed softly. His laughter echoed through Joanna's bones.

"You don't know them. You have no idea what they are like. They were so very loyal to Ellaria, even the ones I did not have with her. I still don't understand it."

Joanna turned her full body towards Oberyn and wrapped her arms around his neck. "Talk to them. Tyene is your favorite, am I right? Ask her. She will tell you everything."
