Figs POV?? No way!!!!
Everything is so sudden in this new world I seemed to have founded. I lived a generally normal life before my first and what I prayed would be the last brutal encounter I'd ever have with Mochi.
Not only were my prayers for everlasting peace either ignored or simply denied by the universes will, but it was beyond anything I could've ever imagined.
After I had witnessed Mochi doing who knows what to that human in the center of the main garden Plantix and Sinox quickly noticed my change in behavior. While I was already timid and tend to keep to my self, it worsened within the time frame of just a few hours.
Sinox practically lived with us after their so called "accident". After Shade was founded, Plantix assumed Sinox had no place to go, no where they belonged considering other goos now found it difficult to trust them on behalf of Shade. They insisted they'd stay with us until the tension in the facility were to die down a little and they would be free to roam without any further suspicions. They were always such a kind and thoughtful person, it was no wonder they were one of few gootraxians who could learn to trust after such tragic events. You'd think everyone would be a little more weary of who they'd welcome directly into their living space when several murderous and missing reports were filed towards the council, who went above and beyond to maintain balance and well fare down in the facility. But nope. Same old Plantix. Most may have, but never them. I know I have. When Plantix first brought up the invitation to the single eyed goo I nearly flipped the fuck out. Especially when Sinox glared at the both of us like we were disturbing what little known peace they had at the pure mention of their name. I wanted to pull Plantix away, beg them to go back on their word or at least reconsider. They denied when I managed however, promising only that the both of us could trust Sinox as the three of us had known one another since they day they arrived.
They seemed so confident when talking about our first few confrontations, how Sinox had this energetic and upbeat attitude towards just about anyone. Their obsession with the slime creatures who were often seen frolicking around the garden at the time quickly growing along with their curious and tamed personality. It made me wonder why they couldn't realize that they had changed since then, everything had. The entire place, once vibrant with positivity and it's own charming glow was now dull, any trace of what it once was replaced by the thick suspense that would follow along with any gootraxian actively fearing for their lives. The miscreant (or Mochi dare I say) behind all of this overwhelming shadow that spiked everyone's nerves had tracked, hunted, and eaten every slime creature they stumbled upon. And shockingly enough, with enough time and dedication towards reigning terror upon them, they were near extinction. So much so they no longer explored the facility looking for a treat or a few head pats as freely anymore.
So much so Plantix found no use in leaving a few extra pillows for them to sit upon. So much so the mere sight of one would immediately be documented by humans desperate to find the cause of the sudden plummet in numbers.
Besides that, Sinox reluctantly agreed with a simple nod.
That's when it happened.
The screaming, the commotion, the fleeing human, the paranoia, Mochi.. That's when things really began to get "personal" with Sinox and I you could say.
They usually stayed pent up in their own respectful area if not out somewhere in the caves for several hours doing so called "research" as they once told me. But after I saw Mochi they were around more. They somehow knew what had triggered me into such paranoia after word spread about the mess left in the main garden and strangely enough,
Fed's erratic behavior.
They asked me what had happened, constantly pressuring me for details or anything I may have seen that looked abnormal. They seemed to know so much they were even asking me to elaborate on how Mochi must've gotten there in the first place, how the humans had gotten there in the first place. "Everything that could prove to be useful." They once said. I was dealing with a lot, my head was practically spinning at the time and I could barely focus on what was truly important and the serious matter at hand. I accidentally either told them things they already knew or weren't helpful in their investigation and they'd blow their top. They had a lot of tantrums. Specifically when they were left to babysit me while Plantix was away and they found the right opportunity to interrogate me further on these crucial topics.
