Chapter 17~A Different Shade Of Pink Part 2

Avalon and Kat rushed into the hospital with Kimberly. "What have we got?" The doctor asked. "Name's Kimberly Hart. These are her friends...they saw it happen." The nurse explained. "She was practicing on the balance beam and then she fell and hit her head really hard." Avalon said as the doctor put Kimberly's bed into place and ordered out the things needed. Kat and Avalon were ushered out and waited, Kat filled with guilt while Avalon sighed. "She lied..." Kat looked at Avalon with a questionable glance. "Huh?" "Kimberly...I gave her strengthening potions and healing potions to help her...but when I waved my wand over her, it showed no traces of any of the potions." Avalon groaned as she put her head in her hands. "Let's hope Rita doesn't figure out it was you who broke her spell on me." Kat said as she crossed her arms and Avalon snorted. "She already knows there is another witch in town...but I ain't bowing to her wishes so easily." Avalon said with a smirk and Kat smiled slightly.

Later on the others arrived. "Yes, Mrs. Hart...as soon as we hear anything, we will let you know. You too...bye." Avalon spoke on the phone to Kimberly's mother before hanging up and sighing, leaning her head back against Tommy's as he wrapped his arms around her from behind. "Kat's taking it very hard...as am I." Avalon said as they looked over at Kat who was biting her nails. "Still don't know what she was doing there though..." Billy said as Gunther walked over. "Tommy, Avalon. I just want to say again, how sorry I am. I feel as though this is somehow my fault." Avalon shook her head. "It was an accident, coach. Things like this happen." Tommy said and Avalon nodded, Gunther nodded before walking away as the doctor walked over. "Good news, she's woken up." The doctor said and everyone sighed in relief. Avalon went in first while Tommy and Billy called the other rangers and she brought with her a stuffed pink crane and a bag of potions. "She is taking these...even if I have to cast an Imperious curse on her...no, too dark Avalon." Avalon muttered as she walked to Kimberly's room. 

"Don't you know you are supposed to land on your feet?" Avalon asked as she handed Kimberly the stuffed animal and the pink ranger laughed. "You scared me...you scared all of us, Kimberly. But why did you lie about taking the potions?" Avalon asked and Kimberly sighed. "I thought I wouldn't need them...that I could have my own strength to do things. I'm sorry Avalon." Kimberly apologized as the communicators went off and Avalon sighed. "Rocky, Adam, and Aisha need your help." Avalon nodded as she pushed Kimberly back down to rest while she, Tommy and Billy left the hospital to help their other friends, leaving Kat at the hospital alone with Kimberly. Kat decided to go on and bite the bullet and went to see Kimberly. "Kimberly, there's something I have to tell you...Avalon already knows and has been helping me...but I can't hide it any longer." Kimberly furrowed her brow as she stared at Kat who had a guilty expression on her face. 

While that was happening, the rangers arrived to help their friends attack the tengas and help Rocky, Adam, and Aisha. "Rito, right behind ya." Avalon taunted as she and the others went to fight before Rito vanished with the other tengas. "Let's get back to the hospital." Avalon said as she and the others went back to the hospital. Back at the hospital, Kat was coming clean to Kimberly, who listened before asking Kat if she knew how Tommy became a Power Ranger. "I was under Rita's spell...I was made to do horrible things. I almost destroyed the power rangers and my friends in the process." Tommy explained as he and the others walked in with Avalon giving Kat a comforting smile. "Zedd and Rita's magic is powerful, but we have our own witch to help us." Kimberly said as she looked at Avalon who waved her wand, making the flowers change colors. As the friends left, Kat was about to explain her idea to the group when they were accosted by Garbage Mouth, a new monster created by Rita. 

"Oh come on." Avalon muttered as the tengas appeared and tried to take Kat when the rangers all morphed to fight him off. "WHITE RANGER POWER!" "PURPLE RANGER POWER!" "BLACK RANGER POWER!" "YELLOW RANGER POWER!" "RED RANGER POWER!" The group all started fighting the tengas one by one while Bulk and Skull ran for it and Avalon managed to team up with Kat to take on Garbage Mouth before he blasted them. "Take cover inside!" Avalon cried out as the monster grew taller and they called on the shogunzords. Avalon and Tommy taking the white shogunzord to fight against the taller Garbage Mouth. They managed to combine the zords together to defeat Garbage Mouth and demorphed. Tommy, Avalon, Kat, and Billy all were walking waterside with Avalon worrying about Kimberly. "The doctor said she was going to be okay." Billy offered up to the purple ranger who shrugged as Rita and Rito appeared. "Oh, great...the Addams Family wannabes are here." Avalon muttered as she, Tommy, and Billy got into defensive positions. 

"Stand back, all we want is the girl. Just hand her over and there won't be any trouble!" Rita cackled and Avalon stood in front of Kat protectively. "No way, Rita...you're never gonna get your hands on her." Avalon yelled out in anger as she glared at the evil woman. 'Though, I'd rather deal with Rita ten times over than Bellatrix.' Avalon thought to herself with a small shudder. "I was almost hoping you would say that!" The rangers and Kat cringed at Rita's cackling laughter as she and Rito disappeared, leaving behind only a small piece of paper. "It's about Ninjor...if we don't turn Kat over to them...they'll throw him in the sea of sorrow where he will remain forever." Tommy read over Avalon's shoulder as she held the letter and cast a worried glance to Kat, who had a fearful look on her face.
