Sonic POV:

I rushed over to Shadow as I forgot to put him down. The weeping willow just dropped him on the ground and he hit his head. He groaned a bit as I continued to make my way over to him. Knuckles stayed where he originally was at, as I helped Shadow get up.

Sonic: "Shadow! But... how?! How did you find us? This world isn't even on the maps!"

Shadow chuckled as he brushed the dirt off his fur.

Shadow: "Funny you mention that. I have been stuck serving a new leader of my alien tribe... she is more harsh than Hezerow was."

Knuckles started advancing towards us as he looked closely at Shadow. The two of them were the same height... which means, Shadow and Knuckles are both 6'8. Shadow was taken aback by the huge change Knuckles showed in appearance and height. Knuckles crossed all four of his arms as he looked Shadow up and down.

No POV:

Knuckles: "Took you long enough to show up."

Knuckles chuckled, as Shadow gave a small smile towards the red alien-like echidna. That's when Shadow spoke once more, looking at both of them.

Shadow: "Your friend was hard to get through, they wouldn't even let me walk around. And they've been... weirdly stalking me this entire time.

Knuckles and Sonic's happy demeanor changed to one of confusion. The two of them looked at each other and then back at the ebony alien.

Knuckles: "Friend?"

Sonic: "Shadow... we've been the only ones on this planet for the past two years..."

Shadow went quiet, as his breath caught in his throat.

Shadow: "So wait... you guys are telling me you haven't see a guy with huge ass wings and weird patterns on his fur?"

They both shook their heads, now getting a bit worried. As Shadow felt his heart sink, who the hell has he been fighting these past few hours? As they then turned back towards the waterfall after they heard a rock fall into the water. They then looked up to where the split waterfall started at. Seeing someone on the cliffing, their wings were spread outward and they were hovering above the rocky ending of the land above them. The guy held out his hand and looked down upon them.

???: "What are you people doing on my planet?!"

All of them took a step back, as Shadow stumbled back into a tree.

Shadow: "Yeah, that's him! The guy that's been following me everywhere..."

Sonic looked back up at the alien, seeing angelic patterns spread upon his body. His wings were colored with pastel coloring that shined in the sunlight. It was almost blinding to look at the dainty coloring. Even with the guy seeming mad... it was just very misleading. Sonic stared at this unknown figure and spoke.

Sonic: "Who even are you...? Me and my pal have been here for two years and you haven't bothered us a bit."

Silver: "My name is Silver... and I am the protector of this world. I was left behind the rest of my tribe to protect what was left of this place. I had to regrow and fix everything from scratch... and now you hooligans come running here to hide or fix what you seem to not be able to fix."

Sonic groaned and kept his ground for a moment. That was... until Silver spread his wings out and glided down onto the ground in front of them.

Silver: "I'm guessing you're their leader... someone they look up to if they need help. Because looking at them... they just seem like back up. Tell me, intruder. Why are you on my planet? Are you here to put this beautiful work in the dirt like others. Or are you here to keep it's beauty at it's peak and keep it safe from any harm?"

Sonic felt his throat clench up slightly. He didn't quite know what to say about all of this. He then let the words fall out of his mouth.

Sonic: "I guess you could say I'm the leader, you could also say we all take a good part in this team. I also wish no harm upon this magical world... but I am here to hide and protect my own world from destruction as much as you would yours."

Silver scoffed. The 7'9 alien glared at the smaller ones. He didn't quite trust anyone, especially since he had been pushed around. Left alone for a couple centuries in this place. He then looked at Knuckles and lashed out for a second.

Silver: "You, the red one... explain who this is. If you all are a team, you should be able to tell me exactly who your little friend here is..."

Knuckles looked at Shadow as the two of them nodded their head in a mental agreement. The four armed echidna wandered forward towards Sonic as the blue hedgehog turned around to face his friend. That's when Knuckles let one of his paws rest on Sonic's shoulder.

Knuckles: "His name is Sonic, he is a mobian hedgehog. He fights for what he believes in, and is one of the most heartfelt people I know. He will put his life on the line for others, even when he knows he can't make it out unscathed... but he does it anyways. He is one of my longest friends I have ever had. And if you mess with him, you mess with me... I'm Knuckles. You also mess with edge lord back there..."

Shadow scoffed and rolled his eyes, crossing his arms together.

Shadow: "Sure... yeah. But the point is... he isn't a harm to your world, and neither are we."

Sonic smiled at both of them being nice and trying to put a good word in for him. As Sonic looked up at the tall winged alien, his mind went blank. It was almost like he had a connection with Silver. As the colorful alien spoke once more.

Silver: "You guys are nice... I like how you think so highly of him. But that doesn't mean you guys are right at all about him being the amazing guy he truly is. Those three gems on his forehead, they only choose someone strong enough to do harm and who would only do harm. And it chose your friend, who you guys say wouldn't hurt a fly unless you guys were in the mix. Oh, and Sonic... if you are who they truly say you are. Then I'm gonna test it..."

Silver smirked as he flapped his wings quickly, he then grabbed at Shadow and put him in a headlock. Silver had nothing to fear between him and Sonic. Shadow choked a bit, as he clawed and Silver's colorful coated fur. The taller alien groaned but didn't let go. Sonic stayed put, freezing up a bit. Knuckles was in just as much shock as Sonic was. The silence grew, all you could hear was the sound of choking.

Silver: "C'mon... where the instincts? Where's the need to protect you friend I have in my arms?"

Sonic POV:

I could feel my breath catch in my throat like I was being choked from afar. I didn't expect him to actually put my friends in harms way, but it seems like I misjudged the situation.

Sonic: "S-Silver, stop... there is no need for this. It's silly, I get you're worried I'm going to hurt you or your world, but I want the complete opposite for it."

I could tell Silver didn't believe one word I said. He just glared at me as he then used his free paw to grip at Shadow's head. The ebony alien groaned as his eyes went blank with white. I felt my body tremble. I wanted to fight, but I didn't want to prove my friends wrong. Silver finally let go of Shadow's head as he smiled and chuckled. Keeping Shadow in his grasp. I just felt speechless, until I found some words to spurt out... yet, I was then cut off by Silver's bantering.

Silver: "You two are a thing... how adorable. It would be such a shame if I killed him."

I froze, no way he would do that. Then again, he doesn't know what I could do. I could be as weak as a mouse to him. Shadow growled as I watched some green electricity spark up from his fur.

Shadow: "Get off of me! You wannabe asshole!"

Silver glared at Shadow as he tightened his grip. Even with being shocked with sharp bolts of electricity, he kept up. I felt my instincts slowly kick in as I yelled.

Sonic: "Let him go! You want me to fight, then I'll do it... but don't threaten my friend... don't threaten my lover..."

I glared at him, like it would do anything for me. As Silver slowly loosened his agonizing grip on Shadow's neck. Shadow stumbled as Knuckles helped him move away from Silver.

Silver: "About time. Show me what you got, little blue..."

I didn't move unless he moved. I kept my eyes only on him and never moved a muscle, unless it was to breathe. I wasn't planning on fighting him... yet running away and getting my friends out of there. But if I truly have to do something, I will. Silver started to get closer to me as I took my steps back. Not to show fear, but to show this isn't honestly what I wanted to be doing. I wanted to be his friend, to be on his good side. But it seemed like he was so set on me being a threat, there was no point in it. Silver finally lunged at me, as I dodge his large form. His wing flicked back as it knocked me back into a tree. The wind pushed out of my lungs from the impact. Silver scuffed his feet onto the ground to turn around and look back at me. Trying to catch my breath, I looked at the weeping willow as Silver charged at me once more. I moved my paws quickly, making a few of the weeping willow leaves move with precision. Wrapping it around his foot before he took his last step towards me. The color coated alien tripped up and groaned as his body hit the floor. I looked at Shadow and Knuckles, giving them the nod of approval. They started to sprint off, Knuckles showing the way back to the castle that me and him have been staying at. I looked down at Silver, feeling my body shivering from the slight adrenaline that filled my body.

Sonic: "I only want peace, I don't wish to fight you or hurt your world."

Silver growled as he tried to get his foot out of the restraints I got him tied down in from the weeping willow leaves.

Silver: "You're going to destroy yourself, not even me... or your friends, not this world. But you are danger to your own being. And you better realize it soon enough, little boy blue. Because life doesn't wait around for you to accept things."

I froze to what Silver said, I didn't even know how to reply. I just bolted off in the direction the guys went in. I wasn't even thinking about where I was going, only to get away from Silver and to try and calm down. I finally came to a clearing. I felt tired... which was unusual for me when it came to running. I just leaned on a softly lit up tree and looked at the darkened sky. The stars shimmering in the abyss that we all called the night sky. 'What did he mean by a danger to myself? What did he see in me that I don't see in myself? Maybe I'm just tired and need to relax. Yeah... that sounds good. I'm just overthinking the situation. I'll try and find the castle after I rest here for a little bit. I'll just get up in the morning and search for Shadow and Knuckles. I think that they'll be fine without me being there for just one night. I'm too tired to even know where I'm at.' I thought to myself.

I could feel my paws getting a bit shaky on the thought on if Shadow and Knuckles were even okay. I didn't know what to think, or do. I was just trying to calm myself down. I hadn't felt so anxious in such a long time, but now that my friends could be in serious trouble. Or I could lead myself into deep shit... it wasn't all that great of a feeling to have. I just relaxed my head back on the tree trunk. As the shimmering leaves of the tree hung above my head like a light show. I let my body calm itself down as I took deep breaths. The feeling of my body coming down from a sheer high I got myself into from the fight and running. The thought of what Silver said slipped from my mind as my body slowly drifted off to sleep. My eyes shutting softly while my paws rested on my lap. My fingers intertwined with one another. I didn't feel scared for the moment, but I did feel like I was being choked from afar by my own disruptive thoughts.
