EPIPHANY: Part 2

PHUWIN POV

My chest aches so badly that I can't look away. I've never felt like this before, and I don't want to feel like this.

"Phu, are you okay?" Gemini asks, looking at me with concern.

I can't say anything, but Gemini can tell that something is wrong. "You look like you're about to cry," he says.

I try to blink away my tears and compose myself, but Gemini sees through my facade. "Phu, I'm your twin. I know when you're not okay."

"Don't worry about me, let's focus on cheering for Hia!" I suggest, trying to change the subject and focus on the basketball court.

As I watch Hia Dunk warming up, I notice that something seems off. He doesn't look like his usual self. I observe that Hia keeps looking towards the opposite team. Initially, I thought he was just focused on beating St. Gabriel, but it seems like he's looking towards P'Joong. I can see Hia's head keeps following P'Joong's movements.

I wonder what's going on with Hia.

The Basketball Finals game finally begins, and they start by calling the starting players from both teams. I cheer for Hia from the bottom of my heart and scream loudly when they call his name.

I hope that Hia will win this time.

In the middle of the first quarter, I have an urge to go to the restroom. "Gem, I'll go to the restroom," Gemini nods and continues cheering for Hia.

I walk to the nearby restroom, and surprisingly there are not many people in it, probably because they don't want to miss the match of the year.

Lucky me.

As I was walking to the restroom, I suddenly heard a voice like someone was arguing inside. I stopped myself. Is there someone fighting inside? I wonder. This is hard to step inside, but I can't help but hear the conversation. I mean, they are arguing very loudly.

"James! I told you I'm fine, na."

"No, you're not...Pond!"

My heart stops for a minute.

Pond and...James?

I can't bring myself to go inside.

I heard James and Pond's names. Are they both inside? Why are they arguing? There's a part of me that wants to walk away from here, but another part of me wants to hear the conversation. I feel scared, but I'm also curious.

Since when did he become so close with the infamous actor and model, James Su? Why?

I put my ears a little bit closer.

"James, I said I'm fine na"

"Pond, you maybe can fool others with that lame excuse but not with me."

"James..."

"You not fine, and you promise to tell each other when there's something in your mind,"

"I know, but we both already..."

"Just because we're not together anymore, doesn't mean I didn't love you or care for you,"

Wait what?

Together?

Are they...are they used to date before?
