----------

You woke up not so long after you fell asleep because it was time for dinner. Louis lightly tapped your non-injured shoulder to wake you up.

"Y/N? It's time for dinner." Louis informed.

You rubbed your eyes, and that's when the pain set it again. "Shit.." You hissed.

"Are you okay?" Louis asked, worried.

"Better then before.. It still hurts like hell though." You laughed it off.

"Do you need me to bring your dinner to you?" Louis asked you.

"No.. It's okay." You smiled at him as you stood up.

The two of you walked outside and to the benches. You sat down at a table with Ruby, Violet, and Tenn, and of course, Louis sat with you, too.

"How're you feelin', Y/N?" Ruby sympathetically inquired.

"I'm feeling better. Thank you, by the way." You smiled.

"'Course." She nodded, before beginning to eat her food.

It was.. an awkward dinner, to say the least. It was your first dinner without Marlon or Brody.. the least amount of people you guys have ever had at the school. It's weird. You guys gained two more people, then with their leave, lost two of your own. It's the quietest dinner you guys have had in a while.

"I'm.. gonna go." Louis blurted out through the lengthy silence.

Everyone wished him goodnight, then it went back to the awkward silence before everyone slowly began dispersing to their rooms. You were the last one out, and you weren't ready to go to sleep yet. You already took a long nap after getting patched up so you weren't sleepy, but there wasn't much you could do with your injury. You decided maybe you could scavenge some intact book from the shelves in the piano room.

Right as you walked into the admin building, you heard the piano playing. You, and everyone, thought Louis was going to sleep first, but technically he didn't say anything about sleep. You walked in and stood silently in the door frame, watching Louis play.
He didn't even notice you. You could tell there was a lot on his mind, especially after today. He was just playing while lost in thought. You still stood there and admired his skills. You went to lean on the doorframe, but...

"Ow, shit!" ..You leaned on the wrong side.

Louis abruptly stopped playing at the sound of your yell. "Are you okay?"

"Yeah, yep. I'm good. Sorry." You nodded, holding a hand on your shoulder.

"..How long have you been standing there?" Louis laughed.

You smiled. "Just for a little bit."

Louis moved over on the chair, motioning for you to sit down next to him. You walked over and sat down next to him. He continued playing.. whatever song he was playing before you interrupted him.

"Aren't you tired?" You asked Louis, genuinely worried. I mean, he didn't sleep last night, and now he's playing the piano instead of sleeping.

Louis shrugged. "I mean, I am, but I just.. can't sleep."
