----------

You woke up early the next morning, hearing a heartbeat in your ears. You quickly realized that you were laying on Louis's chest and quickly, but silently, sat up on the bed.
You brushed off the slight embarrassment and hopped off of your bed, grabbing your shoes and coat and getting ready to set up the school for when the raiders get here.
You made sure that you didn't wake Louis up as you got ready, which was pretty easy.. he's a very heavy sleeper.

Once you got your coat on, you opened the door, and Clementine was standing on the other side.

"Ah!" You jumped, covering your mouth and looking behind you to see if you accidentally woke Louis up.

"Why's Louis in your bed?" Clementine teased as she looked behind you, a smirk spread on her face.

"I.." You stuttered. You probably looked like a tomato due to your embarrassment. "He was having trouble falling asleep last night. It wasn't anything weird, me and him aren't dating or anything. I was just trying to comfort him."

"I get it." Clementine laughed as she crossed her arms. "I need your help getting started with some defenses. I have a plan written out in the office."

"Alright." You nodded as you trailed behind her.

The two of you arrived in the office. Clementine walked behind the desk and pulled out her map of the school, turning it to face you.

"I already told Violet about this when I first got back, but here's the plan." She pointed to some little doodles inside of the main courtyard. "We're going to flip the picnic tables over for cover. While we're waiting and eating food, we'll have a separate table to eat at. I was also wanting to make some walker scarecrows."

"Okay, is that all?" You asked, acknowledging the other drawings on the map.

"Well, it's not all. But, it's your job for today. If you finish early and you're not too exhausted, we can figure out something else to do." Clementine explained. "I'm giving everyone jobs today. Not everyone is awake, but everyone who is has a job."

"Alright, I can do it." You took a closer look at the drawn out plan in front of you. "Do you want me to get the walker heads?"

Clementine grabbed the map, folding it back up. "Yes, unless you don't feel confident doing it."

"I do. I used to love making scarecrows, like, complicated ones. I think this'll be easier than that." The two of you shared a smile. "I'm not too excited about cutting off their heads, though." You laughed.
You started walking for the door before stopping in your tracks. "..Hey, Clem?"

Clementine looked up at you and raised an eyebrow.

"I'm glad you're back."

----------

You decided to go get the walker heads first, since it'd probably be the hardest one. You grabbed two buckets and attached them to your backpack. You never really liked killing walkers, especially cutting their heads off.. but, if it helps the school and saves everyone? I think it's worth it.

You guys still had walker bodies at the front gate from the first night Clementine and AJ came, so you decided to start there. You crouched down and turned your nose up at the smell of the decaying body beneath you.
You looked away and held your breath as you pierced it's neck with your knife, cutting it along to remove the head. You picked up the head and put it in your bucket. This continued for a while, walking to the bodies, cutting their heads off, then putting them in a bucket. It was a long and tedious process, but after a while, you were desensitized to it.
