*Knock*
You roll over and put a pillow over your head.
*Knock, knock!*
You groan and get up to open the door.
"Hello..?" You answer the door, sleepily.
"Wow, you actually woke up. Well, me, you, and Louis are going hunting in a few. Get ready, if you aren't already out before we go I'll come back up to get you." Marlon responds.
"Cool. Okay. Alright." You rub your eyes. "I'll be out in a second." You close the door and begin putting your clothes and shoes on, as well as grabbing your weapon.
You walk outside. You haven't been outside this early in a couple weeks.. it's cold and makes you just want to crawl back in bed.
"Hey, Y/N!" Louis says happily, jogging over to you. "How'd you sleep last night? I mean- besides waking up in the middle of the night."
"It was okay.. I slept better after talking to you. What about you?" You answer.
"Same. I'm still a little tired but Marlon just has to have us hunting this early in the morning..." Louis replied, jokingly sounding pathetic and putting a hand on his forehead for dramatic effect.
You scoff as the two of you start walking towards Marlon.
"You two ready?" Marlon asks, grabbing his bow.
"As ready as I'll ever be!" Louis playfully responds.
You nod and begin following Marlon and outside towards the traps.
You were pretty quiet the walk there. Louis and Marlon were talking...well mostly Louis. Marlon was more focused on trying to find dinner, but Louis was just talking his ear off with random stuff and stupid jokes. Of course, Marlon didn't care, that's his best friend! Honestly, you didn't care much that they weren't talking to you. You were mostly focused on if there were any walkers nearby, and if you guys were even going to find anything to eat, because with how much they were chatting, they were probably scaring off anything near us.
You also realized that you had a little feeling in your stomach that you were trying to ignore, but alas, you couldn't. You never really could focus on something else when your brain sets on one little thing. This thought, however, was about Louis. Part of you was actually kind of upset that he was talking to Marlon instead of talking to you. You and Louis have been spending a lot of time with each other recently, but that still didn't stop you from feeling this way. It was an awkward feeling and you kind of had to deal with it. You've never been a talkative person, you have NO CLUE how to start a conversation.
"Hey Y/N! Wake up!" Louis says, snapping a finger in front of your face. "You've been spaced out for a while, did you find something?"
"What? Oh.. no. Sorry." You rattled.
"Y/N, you have to be paying attention. We are trying to find dinner, don't be useless." Marlon asserted.
Your eyes shoot open instantaneously after hearing him call you useless. You've always worried about being useless and getting kicked out because of it.
"Dude, don't call her useless. That's too far." Louis defended, which made you smile a bit.
"Well that's what she'll be if she doesn't step up her game." Marlon affirms.
"You're right, I'm sorry. I'll do better." You agreed, pushing in front of him and Louis.
