Chapter 10

Lily

"WHAT IS THAT?!" I hear my sister Petunia scream and I rush downstairs with my suitcase full of everything I will need tonight and the night of the ball. When I reach the bottom of the stairs I see one of my best friends Natalia glaring at Petunia or Bitchunia as she likes to call her,

"Calm down Bitchunia it's just a magical creature that could kill you with the snap of her fingers," Talia jokes rolling her eyes before spotting me,

"Lils!" She screams before crushing me in a hug making us both fall over and start laughing,

"It's good to see you again Natalia," Mum says while trying not to laugh, Talia stands up and holds her hand out for me to take and we both straighten up before facing my mum,

"Hi Mrs Evans," Tania says kindly but I see Mum's eyes flick behind us and see her house-elf,

"Not to be rude Natalia but what is that?" Mum asks warily off her, You can pretty much feel the attitude falling off Talia, I think

"One of my house elves and this is who takes care of me when I can't look after myself. Willow say hi," Talia says gently pushing Willow forward from behind her legs.

"H-hello Mrs Evans," Willow says quietly, before running back behind Talia,

"Well house elves are ugly," Petinua spits, and I can see the fire in my friend's eyes,

"Lily is that the only bag you're taking," She says her tone now cold,

"Yeah?" I respond unsure as I have never seen my friend act like this,

"Willow can you please take Lily's bag to the Manor and come back in a few minutes," Tali says in the same tone but a bit gentler,

"Of course, Mistress Natalia," With a pop she disappears and Talia turns angrily to Petunia,

"Listen here Bitchunia you will not insult MY house elf, you will not insult witches or wizards because you're not one. You may think I'm dumb but I did my research, I know you sent a letter to  Dumbledore asking if you could come to Hogwarts and I know he said no and you just got more and more jealous of your sister who you treat horribly. I tried to be nice I did but I draw the line, Willow has been there for me since I lost my family and I will not let you insult her!" Natalia screams pointing her finger at Petunia, she shrinks away from Talia and my mum is just looking disapproving at my sister,

"Go to your room Petunia and wait till the girls leave," Mum says sternly, Petunia huffs and pouts for a second before storming up the stairs, "I am terribly sorry for her," Mum says looking down then another pop is heard and Willow is standing back behind Talia.

"Lils ready to go?" I nod and Willow stands between Talia and me grabbing both our hands,

"Have fun at the ball!" Mum calls before I feel myself being pulled away from my house.

"What has our one and only Gryffindor Princess so pissed off?" Marlene questions as we are walking down Diagon Alley,

"AH, it's fucking Bitchunia! She constantly disapproves of magic, says horrid things to Lily, SHE INSULTED MY HOUSE ELF, and that her boyfriend hates magic too!" Natalia yells causing many people to look at us,

"I haven't met Vernon how do you know he hates magic?" I ask very confused a wave of emotion flicks over her face quickly before disappearing, 

"I meant will hate magic, cause Petunia wouldn't date someone that liked magic," She shrugs,

"Alice isn't that your uncle's shop?" Mary asks pointing to Florean Fortescue's Ice Cream Parlor,

"Yeah it is," Alice smiles fondly at the place before both Marlene and Natalia jump on either side of her,
