Third person
Regulus thought he knew how much Sirius went through at Grimald. He didn't. After Sirius left all of the attention fell to him now. There was no reckless, protective, Gryffindor brother to spare him pain, to share the load. It was just him. Regulus limps to his room closing the door behind him as he sinks down to the floor against the door staring at his bleeding leg.
"Kreacher," Regulus croaks out his throat dry, with a pop Kreacher is in front of Regulus and starts helping with his leg without a word. He tenses when Kreacher disinfects the cut a grimace making itself apparent on his face. After a while, Kreacher disappears with the same pop he arrived with leaving Regulus alone in his room. He sighs deeply glancing around his room and notices the parchments on his desk have moved. With a grunt, Regulus forces himself up limping to sit down on his desk chair. Riffling through the papers he finally notices the new letter on his desk written in cursive handwriting. I open the envelope pulling the letter out still a heavyweight in the bottom of the envelope.
I let out a sigh and bring an old lighter Sirius gave me to the bottom of the letter letting it burn so my parents don't ever see it. I glance at the lighter before throwing it in the trash angrily as I dump the contents of the envelope onto the desk. A small smile graces my face for the first time in a while.
"Thanks, Nat," Regulus mutters to nobody a ghost of a smile still on his face as he leans back against his chair.
