Max's POV
"All done." I said and looked at the things that are packed.
We're currently here at the hotel. Ngayon kasi ako discharged na sa hospital so they helped me with my stuff.
"Boss-I mean Max, pwede ba kitang makausap? Tungkol sana sa kompanya."
"Okay." Eve and I went near the door dahil they're busy pa sa ginagawa nila.
"What's wrong?" I asked.
"Simula kasi noong umalis ka sa Pilipinas, marami ng models ang nagsialisan. Hindi na raw nila maramdaman na ligtas sila under your care."
I actually expected this na.
I nodded. "Let them leave, Eve. Remember what I've said on your first day sa kompanya?"
She looked at me with a puzzled look.
"Sabi ko, our company is just like a house. You can choose to stay or leave and I won't do anything about it kasi I respect your decisions. I'll just be your guide on your journey. At the end of the day, nasa inyo pa rin ang decision and that's what matters to me the most as the CEO of the company."
She smiled and nod.
"Actually, I've been thinking so hard and I wanted this to happen kahit this is difficult, Eve."
"Ano iyon, Max?"
"I want to stay away from the media na, Eve."
She looked at me worriedly.
"I am planning to sell the company."
Sadness was evident on her face kaya I placed my hand on her shoulder.
"I've thought that a lot and Shyle can help me with that."
"Shy-Shyle? Mrs. Shyle Collins?"
"Yes. Those models and employees under my care will be going to them. I know she'll love the idea about it. I want her to buy my company, Eve. I'm sorry if I am being selfish."
"No.. actually, after everything na naranasan mo, you deserve it. You deserve that rest." She genuinely said.
"You'll go, right?" I asked.
"Ah-"
"She'll come with me, then."
"Payton?" I asked in a confused tone.
She smiled and placed her arm around Eve's waist.
Eve's stunned right now.
"What do you mean?" I asked again.
"Well, I've heard everything you've said. I wasn't eves dropping intentionally, okay?" She said while chuckling that made me shook my head.
"I fired my last secretary because he was a slowpoke so might as well get the secretary of my ex fiancé, right?" She asked in a teasing tone.
I looked at Eve and she's blushing so hard. She's getting embarrassed for sure.
"What do you say, Eve?" I asked.
"Pag-iisipan ko pa-"
"Argh fine. I'll wait and you know where to find me naman sa Philippines." She said and let go of Eve's waist.
"Just don't do anything stupid to her, Payton."
She chuckled. "Yeah, yeah. So, how are you feeling?"
