Sonic's baseball game

After coming home from their adventure at the beach, Sonic and the others were observing a mysterious creature that Cream found. The creature in question was tiny and resembled a fairy with a pudding-like body, and was asleep at the moment. Chris: "What exactly is it?" Cream: "It's called a Chao, a creature that are normally found on Mobius." Chuck: "You mean the planet you and the others came from?" Cream: "That's right, and don't worry, they're harmless, in fact, most Mobians have them as pets... speaking of which... mama, would it be okay if I can keep him?" Vanilla: "Well... I don't see why not, I mean the little one needs someone to take care of him if he's all alone on this planet and all that." Cream: "Thank you Mama, I'll take good care of Cheese here." Tails: "Cheese?" Cream: "Well I gotta call him something, and Cheese is a Chao's favorite snack." that was when Cheese the Chao, (voiced by Rebecca Honig) finally woke up and sees the group in front of him. Cheese: "Chao, Chao?" Cream: "Hi there little Chao, my name is Cream, would you like to be my Chao friend?" asked Cream, before Cheese takes a good look at the little rabbit girl, and can easily tell that she was a kind Mobian. Cheese: "Chao, Chao." Cream: "I'm happy to hear that, and I hope you'll like Cheese as your name too." Cheese: "Chao, Chao!" called out the little Chao, as he went to hug his new owner, who returned the hug. Cream: "I'm happy you like it, we're gonna be the best of friends." Chris: "There's one thing that still bothers me... how did Cheese ended up on earth?" Amy: "Yeah, I was wondering that too." Knuckles: "Maybe he got here through Chaos Control like we did..." Tails: "That's a possibility." Cream: "Does it matter?, I'm just happy to have a pet Chao at last." suddenly, the group heard someone laughing, which came from a little robot with a small rocket pack on his back. His name was Bokkun (voiced by Andrew Rannells), and he was Dr Robotnik's messenger robot. Bokkun: "Which one of you is Sonic the Hedgehog." Sonic: "That would be me, and you?" Bokkun: "The name's Bokkun, and I bring you a message from the great Dr Robotnik." said Bokkun, before he shows the group a little TV monitor that turns on and the image of Dr Robotnik was being shown. Dr Robotnik: "Greetings Sonic, I'm sure you're wondering what this message is about... simple... I wanted to show you this." said the image of Dr Robotnik, before he shows the group a yellow Chaos Emerald in his hand, much to everyone's shock. Knuckles: "A Chaos emerald!" Amy: "And Robotnik has it!" Dr Robotnik: "I'm sure you want this badly... and I want the Chaos Emerald you have already... so I came up with an idea that might be interesting... a game of what the people of this planet call baseball at a place called the Diamond stadium, and the winner will have both of the Chaos Emeralds, I'll be there waiting." said Dr Robotnik, before the little TV Monitor glow and exploded in front of everyone, which got them covered in smoke while Bokkun laughed. Bokkun: "Ha, ha, ha!, that never gets old!" said Bokkun, before he flys away from the scene. Ella: "I really don't like that robot..." Chuck: "Nor do I..." Chris: "What are we gonna do?" Sonic: "What else?, go to this Diamond stadium place and beat Eggman in this baseball game." Tails: "But Sonic... we never played baseball before, come to think of it... we don't even know what baseball is." Chuck: "It's a sport that involves hitting a ball by swinging the bat, which in the case of baseball, is a type of stick." Amy: "Like how I swing my hammer on something?" Chuck: "Sort of... except you don't try to hit the players." Amy: "Got it." Knuckles: "Are we really gonna accept Robotnik's challenge?" Sonic: "Well you want to restore the Master Emerald, right?, and to do that, we need all 7 of the Chaos emeralds, you said it yourself." Knuckles: "Okay... fair point." in less in half an hour later, Sonic and the others made it to the Diamond stadium, where they find Dr Robotnik standing in front of them. Dr Robotnik: "Hello Sonic and friends, I was wondering when you'll show up." Sonic: "Yeah, we're here, and we're gonna beat ya in your own game." Dr Robotnik: "We'll see about that, now then... let's play ball!" yelled the mad doctor, as a ship shaped like a baseball cap arrives, which deploys several identical robots, including Decoe and Bocoe as well. Decoe: "Look at us!, we're out on the big diamond now!" Bocoe: "Yeah!" Tails: "Um... are you sure this is a good idea?" Chuck: "Don't worry Tails, it just so happens that I am a big baseball fan from way back." Tails: "Really?" Chuck: "Yup, now let's play some baseball." Cream: "How do we play?" Chuck: "Well for starters, in baseball, each team needs at least nine players, and there's 11 of us, which means only 9 of us will get to play." Ella: "I still don't know if this is a good idea, there's a chance that Robotnik might try to cheat." Chris: "I was thinking the same thing." The game starts with Sonic's team at bat first. Decoe: "Let's play ball!" Chris is up to bat first. Chris: "Bring it on!" The pitcher throws the ball at the speed of a bullet. Chris exclaims as the ball is caught by the catcher. Decoe: "Strike 1!" Sonic: "Whoa!, that was fast!" Dr Robotnik: "That's the way, Tomorrow!" called out the mad doctor to the robot pitcher, now known as Tomorrow, who throws another ball, and it lands in the catcher's mitt. Decoe: "Strike 2!" A third ball is pitched and immediately caught. Decoe: "Strike 3!, batter out!" Dr Robotnik: "Alright, send in the next sucker!" and with that, it was now Tails' turn on the bat. Tails: "It'll probably be a fast ball." in Dr Robotnik's dugout, Decoe uses a remote to activate Tomorrow's extendable arms. Tomorrow pitches the ball, but it doesn't let go. Instead, the robotic arm stretches towards Tails. Once the ball is close enough, Tomorrow simply tosses it to the catcher. Decoe: "Strike 1!" Tails: Hey, that's not fair!" Decoe: "What do you want? I didn't make any of the robots." Next it was Amy's turn to bat. Instead of using a bat, she uses her hammer. Amy: "Gimme your best pitch, ball boy!" Tomorrow pitches, and the pink hedgehog swings and hits the ball. Amy: I got it!" Sonic's friends cheer for Amy. Knuckles: "We may not lose after all." But, one of the robots throws another of the robots towards the ball, and catches it. Decoe: "She's out!" Amy: "Aw man..." Later, the teams switch and Amy is on the pitcher's mound. Amy: "Now, I'll show them what I can do, I'm a much better pitcher, anyway." She then does the wind up and the pitch at the batter robots, obliterating it. Dr Robotnik: "Hey!, it took me all day to make these robots!" Bocoe comes up to bat with one arm turned into a morning star. Amy: "This time, gotta aim at the catcher's mitt." She aims at the catcher's mitt. While she's throwing, one of the robots runs to steal a base. Tails catches the ball, and the robots bounds over Tails, landing in a handstand on the plate. Decoe: "Safe!" Tails: "Losing isn't fun..." Amy: "Those robots are totally cheating!" Sonic: "That's coming from the one who used a hammer instead of a regular bat." Amy: "Ha... good point." Later, Tomorrow pitches the next ball and is obliterated. Amy: "Sorry, that's a hit." The next batter was Knuckles, who hits the ball hard enough to send it flying at the speed of a bullet. Decoe: "Sad to say, but, it's a home run." Knuckles runs all the bases and Sonic's team cheers. Both teams were unaware that the news team were witnessing the game and Scarlett was making the report. Scarlett: "Good evening, ladies and gentlemen, This is Scarlet Garcia with a live report from Diamond Stadium, there appears to be a most unusual baseball game happening right this moment, one between the now infamous Dr Robotnik and the mysterious blue hedgehog." Chris: "So who's the pinch hitter now?" Chuck: "That would be Cheese." Chris: "What?!" Tomorrow tries to calculate the best pitch, but, because Cheese is so small, there are difficulties. Tomorrow makes an expression of exasperation and makes an attempt to throw the ball softly, but, Cheese doesn't swing once. Decoe: "Ball 1." The ball is thrown back to Tomorrow, who makes another feeble throw. Decoe: "Ball 2." Tomorrow makes another weak pitch. Decoe: "Ball 3." Tomorrow makes its weakest pitch yet. Decoe: "Ball 4, Take your base." Cheese: "Chao!" Dr Robotnik: "You call yourself a pitcher!?" Amy: "Mr Thorndyke, I got an idea." Chuck: "Go for it." Amy: "Cream, come over here, I got an idea." Amy whispers a secret strategy into Cream's ear. Cream: "Are you sure about that?" Amy: "Don't worry about it." Cream: "Um, okay I'll try." the little rabbit girl goes up to bat. Decoe: "Play ball!" Cream: "Oh, Mr. Pitcher!" Tomorrow stops its wind-up momentarily, and sees Cream making the biggest puppy eyes she can manage. Cream: "Please don't throw the ball too hard, I never played before." Tomorrow blushes and releases the ball with a 'boing' sound. Decoe: "Balk, batter takes first base." Cream: "Thank you, Mr. Pitcher!" Dr Robotnik: "Oh come on!, how can she have stolen your heart when you don't even have one?!" yelled the mad doctor, who could not believe that one of his robots became helpless against Cream's cuteness. After that, Knuckles hits another home run and that's when the team noticed that the stadium was filled with a lot of people watching the game. Ella: "Looks like our little game is now known to the public." The score board changes so that the scores are tied and the game resumes. Sonic comes up to bat. Tomorrow pitches and Sonic bunts the ball. He dashes to first before the robot playing first even notices him. Soon it was Chris' turn again, and once he hits the ball, he went on running towards first base. Sonic steals second and third base before running to Home while Chris slides to first. Decoe: "Safe!" and with that, the score changed to show that Team Sonic became victorious. Sonic: "Alright Eggman, we won the battle, now hand over the emerald." said Sonic, while Robotnik just growled in anger, before handing the emerald over to the blue hedgehog. Dr Robotnik: "Mark my words Sonic, I will beat you next time!" shouted Robotnik, before he leaves to his ship with his robots and escape. Back with Team Sonic, they noticed their fans at last. Tanaka: "It would appear that our game has been exposed to the public." Ella: "We better go before someone sees us along with the Mobians." so with that, the Mobians and their allies left the scene. Little did they know was that somewhere in the audience, a certain human was watching them, one that will try to get close with the human boy that's close with Sonic.
